my husband wants me to have a credit card because he said,it's the easiest way i could purchase airline tickets online.he's a seaman and spend 10 mos every contract overseas.sometimes, they have a chance to travel over asia and he wants me to be there too.for this i need to have a credit card. the problem is i don't know how to apply and what are the requirements to have this. i am currently employed in a national government office and have my own income too aside from the monthly salary of my husband to which he would directly send to my bank account.could anybody there suggest and advice me which company to go and what are the requirements for the application of credit card?

hi! gettign a credit card is really easy. you can go to a credit card agency or perhaps go directly to your preferred bank of choice. you may also check out the booths that these credit card companies have in malls. they assist client's such as yourself who are looking to have a credit card. they do not charge any fees and you will need to submit a filled up credit card form, a photocopy of a valid photo ID (preferably a government issued one), and proof of income. an original copy of your payslip (atleast a month's worth) or a letter from your company human resource department, with a company letterhead, detailing the length of your tenure with the company and your salary will suffice. hope this helps. cheers!!!

the card will be under your name so there will be no need for him to affix his signature. if you want, you can ask your husband to apply for a credit card for himself and then give you an extension card. hope this helps. cheers!!!

I agree with you. But as of the moment, I think the banks now are accepting applicants who already have an existing card. Applying for another one would be easier though if you are already carded. Anyways, the same procedures lang. Fill up forms then submit your requirements. Maybe you could try BPI Express. If you are a client or maybe not, you only have to deposit and account for P10,000 then apply for a credit card, the process of getting approved is a lot easier.

Well for one there are many in the malls that offer credit cards. Well i think you only need some kind of identification and proof of your income as well so that you can be given credit card. Others would require others like employer's certificate etc. One thing about them is that they are pretty convenient when you are given one. You might be tempted to use that irresponsibly if you have one. So word of precaution try to pay them as soon as you can or else you will fall into their prey of becoming their slaves paying for it monthly.
