Hello fellow mylotters! I would just like to share to you a helpful tip that my friend told me on how to remove blood stains. Ladies, when you have blood stains on your dress due to your monthly period, use hydrogen peroxide to remove it. Just make sure to let it dry afterwards so you wont feel awkward walking around with something wet on your behind. Any tips aside from this are most welcomed. Have a nice day!

the best tip i have for this is saliva. its actually a sewing tip so its better for small stains but there a biological reaction between your own saliva and your own blood that makes it work. chew a piece of white thread until its soggy and then work it round the stain. magic

The thing that concerns me about hydrogen peroxide is whether or not it will have a bleaching effect ? I've heard about doing this before..but I've heard about doing it with underwear. Even then.. I wonder will the hydrogen peroxide have a bleaching effect if you wear underwear that isn't white ?

Thank you Mrs. Walz for taking time to respond. So far i have tried it on a blue skirt and it didn't have a bleaching effect on it. I usually use only a little amount of hydrogen peroxide to remove the stain. I get a piece of cotton and pour hydrogen peroxide on it and use the wet cotton to remove the stain. However i have not tried it on a bigger scope because the stain i got on my skirt was not that big.

Hmm.. Depending on the type of fabric you use, but we usually would use chalk to take out blood stains. We taught ourselves that when we were in high school. We had uniforms with hmm.. somewhat weaved fabric, so we'd mark the stains with chalk or even powder when it's already dry, then we tap it till the stains are gone. Bleach does wonders too, now that there are bleach for colored fabrics too.
