when you are printing documents either in your office or home, would you like to print the pages back and forth meaning double side? i think it is our only way to help in decrease the cutting of trees. what do you think?

dude u really have a great idea ...i help my dad in his legal matters and take the print outs everyday ....but as per the govt. requirement only one page is used and backside print is not allowed so i think most of our paper would be saved by printing backside also....i think govt should take a note of this ....also they can ask the people not to waste paper ...coz i know in this legal buizness lots of papers are wasted only in making drafts .... we can suggest to make a digital draft and only after it is correct then print it

private companies are doing this ..that is good but the main issue is that the govt institutions should implement it too.....thats where the whole "compulsory one side page print" occurs

Some companies are actually applying what you suggest now. They do not use any hard copies of anything and everything is digitally based.

I dont like to have it that way. I think its not very neat. Though I can save paper for that I just dont want to print on both sides. I'd rather reduce the size of the font than print both sides.

well, you have your own choice to do what you wish. But i wonder if you reduce the fonts size, should the writings be abit hard to read?

The font size that I can still read is 8 so its okay for me to reduce it down to that size. I can read 7 but it would be hard.

Good day cintoy, Well for it depends on how I will use the printed document. If it is for my personal reading only, I usually print it in double sided and with small fonts so that I can only use fewer pages of paper. But when it comes for a project or sort of report that needs to be submitted I usually print in formal and single side only.

good day brienn yup. there are certain documents that should be printed one sided only as it should be very formal and printing double will make it unformal and messy.

I do if I am not going to be cutting things out of it or needing it to be blank on the other side, otherwise yes I print both sides to save paper. I am glad you worry about the trees. We have to now days people use so much paper that I wonder when we will run out of trees and paper will be a cherish able item.

I can imagine seeing the trees gone and every spaces are used to build plantations or residential. It would be so cruel to the world.

I would hope not. We need the trees for oxygen and the shade if we use them all we have none of either. I would hate to see it come to that. But companies waste so much. Sending out junk mail that just gets thrown out and people who waste a ton of paper just to throw it away.

This would be a great way to decrease the cutting of trees and I would use it as well. I don't print much but when I do it is a lot of paper work and forms and this would save on the amount of paper that I use.

yup. feel happy that everyone would want to print double side. I understand very clear that we can't stop anyone from printing papers but printing on both sides should be one of the ways in avoiding more trees cutting.

Yes, I always want to print pages back to back as it is first of all helpful in saving a lot of money. It is called duplex printing for getting back to back prints and I follow it in order to save my money at home as well as the company's amount they use for getting the stationary as my small way of contributing to reduce cost!!

I know about the cost of the paper but sometimes, when I print many pages, I don't do back-to-back. It's easier to read when it's single-sided, you won't need to fold it for the reverse, just one direction.

yes, but only when i use my printer at home, because I save paper. and when I use the printer at work, I print it only from one site, because I really don't care about the paper, my boss pays it and i have nothing to do with the paper payments

well, it's notonly about saving money in buying papers. but it deals with how you used the paper efficiently so that it is not wasted. Do you know that for a 5-year-old tree, we can only make 5 rims of A4 papers? so, imagine how long we can use all 5 rims of paper. I believe it is just in a few weeks to months. but it need 5 years to grow the tree. well, this is just my opinion. You have your rights to do wahtever you think right. Thanks

it is possible to print on both sides of the paper. but legal documents, especially those presented to courts as evidences are not double-side. usually, those scraps or scratch papers, are the ones i usually use, as in recycle them. there are some documents i use that are not presented in court, as in you use it only in the office. say for example, application forms which are not actually official documents, i use to print on the other side of those scratches.

I will if it's for my personal use. I will recycle the paper too. For example, if I have to print out a hardcopy of my official documents, but something went wrong and that page has to be re-print, I will not throw away that page which was printed wrongly, but keep it and re-use the other side as spare paper. Actually if possible, I won't want to print out my resume as it can save a lot of resource not just the trees...
