Do you worry about your babies' development?

I am a first time mother and sometimes I worry about my daughter's development. It is so hard to judge because other mother's can be so competitive. It becomes almost impossible to gauge. I had one mother tell me her baby walked at 8 months, but what she left out is that it was with her holding his hands and scooting his feet with hers. Any ideas on comparison tools?

hi. I have subscribed to babycentre.com and it gives you a month by month guide to what babies of your age should be doing or trying to do. i found it very useful for my daughter who is now 5, and have used it again for my son who is 7 months. try it out, lots of helpful info there too. twinkleD

You are not a real mother unless you worry about something. Be it the size of their toes or how much weight they are gaining. We all need to remember that each and every baby is unique and you should trust your parenting instincts rather then how big or how fast someone elses baby is growing...
