i think sachin tendulkar will hit about 15 more centuries in test cricket and his record will never be broken even by ricky ponting!!!!
ricky ponting is the only strong contender who can beat sachin. but the way sachin is playing right now ponting won't be able to reach there!!!!
sachin tendulkar has made 4 centuries in his last 4 tests and thats reall amazing!!!!
and in present time the way format of cricket is being changed no one will be able to play for 20 years to break his records!!!!!
so sachin's record will remain unbeaten!!!!!!!

YA at the the current form sachin is in now and if he continues to play for the next three to four years it will be definitely tough for ricky ponting to catch up with sachin . but we should not forget that there is every chance that ponting may play two to three years extra than sachin and hence that gives ponting a chance to do that . but i think in playing style both sachin and ponting are bit different . lets hope that sachin maintains his record . sachin the god of cricket always rocks and rules

Yes, it is very difficult for anyone to break Sachin's centuries record. Ricky ponting is near but he is not more effective and wont be able to break this record.
But one name that comes to my mind is Virendra Sehwag. If his form like now continues, you never know.
Virendra Sehwas has 21 centuries now and the rate with which he is getting centuries is tremendous.
So I think Viru may come nearer to Sachin.
But I like Sachin very much. So I hope Viru not to break his record.

Well said, i believe the same, sachins record will remain unbeaten, may be his son have to grow up and beat it.
