Yes,it can affect or damaged our eardrums.
Using earphones longer than 30 mins will caused some damaged to our inner ear, most specially with our eardrums.
Doctors never recommend us to use earphones longer than 30 mins.
Even if it is use in low volume...it can still trigger the eardrum with it's too much excessive beating.
The sound wave causes the eardrum to shake in abnormal way.
So,better avoid to listen music using the earphones for a long time.

Yes earphone affects our hearing powers.. and now doctors also suggest that if you listen music in full volume for a long time with earphone then your hearing capacity may be affected.. and also research says.. if you listen music in full volume daily for an hour.. .. then in 5 years you may lost your hearing power.. so be care full.. have a nice day.. keep mylotting always..

It can damage our ears and affect our hearing, but only if you have them plugged into your ears for hours at a time, turned up to a ridiculously high volume
If however, you use your headphones a few hours each day at an acceptable volume, then I do not see how they would cause you problem
