hi dear mylotters..how do differ JOY from HAPPINESS? most of the time others would mean they're just the same...well for me, JOY only come from GOD, when He satisfies your soul, but happiness comes from satisfaction of things you have and experienced.
how about you?

Good day blue_raine,
Although often used interchangeably, the two words are similar but not the same.
Joy is intrinsic or it comes from within, whereas happiness is extrinsic or comes from without.
One finds joy in being alive, in being able to help people in need, in being surrounded by loving friends and family, in seeing the sun after a cloudy day, for answered prayers, for countless reasons and for no obvious reasons at all.
Passing the board exam, purchasing the car of your dreams, going to Vegas or Disneyland, shaking hands with George Clooney, watching Grey's Anatomy are possible reasons to make one happy.
Blje_raine, I wish you a beautiful and joyful day!

according to me happiness depends on our circumstances but joy is our vivid emotions at all. although they have appear to be similar, they can separated by a thin line of truth. for example we might happy when won the lottery but we may joy when we think about our beloved one like lover or our child or grandchild.

out of the context, JOY is something we feel that even though people call what you do is a failure or anything of the sort, you feel satisfied because you can achieve what you want. and HAPPINESS is when we feel fun in what we're doing. its different from joy and happiness because joy isn't as easy as happiness because it doesn't just came in just like that.
