I dont like taking public transportation. I had to when I used to go to college but I hated it with a passion. Having to face people who are usually in a bad mood or not quite awake....yuk!!
I used to take the bus, then the metro (its how we call our subway or tube for the Brits). I wouldnt enjoy flying anymore with all the new rules and regulations. Ive never been on a train. For some reason, trains scare the devil out of me.
I like being in my car, with loud music and preferably speeding a little and hoping I dont get caught by a cop.

I used to drive to downtown till about 3-4 years back - now I prefer AC buses or taxis- this b'cos the traffic is terrible in the sense due to high vehicle congestion what used to take a fast 30-40 minutes now is a bumper to bumper, a slow minimum 75 minutes drive and then you have to struggle to get parking place - if you are lucky you may get one or you park about 1-2 miles away and then either walk or take another mode of transport to reach yr destination; driving to other parts is still not a problem so I do that but I think the way traffic is growing that will also be difficult within the next 2 years!!

udayrao2 I like access bus the best as I am slightly handicapped and a senior citizen, female , and it picks me up on front of Gold Crest and Drops me off at my doctor's office, or at any other destination I want, and comes back in an hour and picks me up to take me back to my retirement center. It only costs me five fifty for the round trip and is to the door of w herever I want to go and am brought back to my own building again. this is great service for me.

Earlier I mentioned that I like AC. buses as like you I am also a senior citizen and these buses are never overcrowded as they do not allow standees on the bus. Also there is a lot of leg and head room & comfortable for tall people like me, having more seats for the Sr. citizens & handicapped, besides it is very punctual as compared to the normal buses

I prefer the same here in Mumbai, India ( if I have to travel by public transport)where otherwise public transport is overcrowded; and air-conditioned buses they do not allow standees so everyone is assured of a seat plus the seats are very comfortable each with arm rests, a pouch in the seat to keep your belongings etc and then you arrive fresh even a very long time consuming journey

I don't really use too much transportation right now, since my parents can drive me places I need to go to...School buses right now would be the public transportation I use the most right now, lol. But also, when my family and I travel places, we take the local subway and stuff sometimes.

Jeepneys are the common public transport here in the Philippines and i ride on it everyday to work, alternatives are passenger garage-to-garage vans which are actually deluxe rides, more comfortable to ride on... i ride on taxis when i go out at night...

Here in the Philippines there so called "jeepneys" who can only have 12passsengers and they only have route or limit place where they travel...And I usually ride on that when I'm on hurry but sometimes bus we also prefer bus when it's really need to be close in the place where we want to go...

I prefer buses it a nice and normally easy way of getting to point a to point b. The only real problem is the over crowding that one might experience. But even this isnt so bad in some cases one can make new friends or get a date for the evening while in a crowed bus.
