Have you experience walk down the street and then come to cross a person the same clothes you're wearing?
Augh! I hate it when that happends. Because everytime I shop for my clothes, I make sure that its one piece or unique. I remember when I was in college, we don't wear uniforms anymore, I was in our cafeteria I came to bump someone wearing the same blouse as mine. My initial reaction that time was I ran in opposite direction... Looking behind me, the girl with the same clothes as mine also ran the opposite direction. Really, it was hilarious... Funny but I hate it..
Have you experience it also? Glad to hear your thoughts...

But if it were me, I'd think I don't have to be embarrassed. It only means I have good taste because another human being thought I was wearing something good.
But if you really hate that to happen too much, don't shop at department stores. They tend to sell many copies of their clothes. I look for small boutiques or vintage shop. It's also nice to accessorize, you may have the same clothes but you are presenting it a different way.
Sometimes it really doesn't matter what you're wearing at all. It's how you carry your clothes and let your personality shine through.

Usually identity shows on how you look. What you're wearing says it all. For me, wearing unique pieces is my identity, it makes me feel I stand out. But once I saw someone wearing the same clothes as mine means I'm just a mediocre. haha! well that's just me..
But I'm quite agree with you also about not being embarrased. Its quite complimenting too..

On the contrary, what you wear dose not say it all. In making good impressions the first time that could be plus, but proving your worth is more of what your actions say that what you look.
Mediocre you? I think not. Knowing you're different and special by itself sets you apart from all those people still struggling to find their own identities.

I also experienced this way back in college. A schoolmate also was wearing the same shirt. What i did was i smiled at her and she turned around and walked in the opposite direction. After that i'm more careful when shopping for clothes.

Hi sexyposh,
Ha, ditto to whatever you've shared re your reaction =) Just that if I do not have the chance to run, I'll try to maintain a calm disposition and may even attempt a joke as a cover-up... ha, though on the inside, I wish we can all disappear =)
And so that is why I will not shop in the boutiques here cos the probability of finding my "twin" is higher! So, I'll usually get most of my clothes online shopping instead - cheaper and mostly unique in design =)
