I didn't know Vancouver 2010 could be so exciting even if I am only viewing the sports spectacles in my boob tube. Canada's blue backdrop against the white snowy mountains was already a sight to behold. But when the riders dropped one by one on a zigzagg slope, on a snowboard, I couldn't breathe anymore. Wow!

Hi Eileen, That's really amazing...breath-taking and a WOW. Almost all the people who witness and is continuously watching it have great praises to say on to winter sports. An event worth watching!

I was fascinated by the determination of each and every athlete. They all know there is one gold to grab, the silver and the bronze are consolation prizes. Yet, they all prepared themselves for the best shape and stamina. I can imagine the happiness when one wins. But for those who did not make it, it must be painful. I thank them all though for giving us a wonderful show. These athletes are really world class!

I agree that everything looks really nice on TV. The color scheme for the Olympics also helps. The blue and green really spells out the northwest. It must be even nicer the be at the actual events. I would have loved to see the moguls and the ski-cross first hand. Of course the hockey games are nice too! Would love to see the Russian team in action. A Canada-Russia, or a US-Russia game.

I will watch that hockey game. It is the most dangerous sport, they say. I am not familiar with the rules and have seen scenes from a game only in news clips. The Russian team sounds formidable. Are you rooting for them?

The sports are all exciting and nerve wacking. I can't believe the snowboarder. Its amazing along with the luge and the speedskating. Its all really exciting stuff. My favorite still is the figure skating. I just hate it when they fall. That must hurt.

I am not knowledgeable about the technical terminologies which, I gathered, are required in the routine. But the twists and the turns and loops climaxed by spin top show were simply exhilarating. The figure skaters deserve our applause and admiration. And yes, I wish the art could be fall free.

Vancouver definitely looks like a very pretty place. The winter games have been very engrossing for sure. So far I've seen a lot of speed skating and some good downhill skiing and moguls. I'm hoping to catch some hockey, I think that starts next week. The snowboarding competitions tonight were good, looking forward to more events.

Northwest Vancouver looks like a heavenly place. I do hope I get to see it one day. I am not a fan of skateboarding nor snowboarding but I just fell in love with Shaun White for the bravado and the skill he demonstrated as an athlete. I gathered that he had already secured the gold but still he gave the audience a show they have come to witness. It was difficult and dangerous, said the commentator, but he still did it.
