I have received an email to log on this website http://www-log-peypal-com.sytes.net/ (It is a spoof so dont try to log on it) It says that my paypal account is limited and that I need to fix this problem. Anway it clicked in my mind that it can be fake and I informed paypal. I received this email from PAYPAL. "Thanks for forwarding that suspicious-looking email. You're right - it was a phishing attempt, and we're working on stopping the fraud. By reporting the problem, you've made a difference!" unfortunately phishing is becoming a common thing online and I thought it is better to warn paypal so other users wont be tricked. I felt i did something good when I received their email. What is your good deed of the day?

That sounds really good my friend and I am glad you forwarded that suspicious looking email to Paypal, and I am not sure if I have done a good deed for the day, because I have not really done anything today, but yesterday when I was at work I helped an old lady load her groceries in her car because she was having trouble with the heavier things, and she said she really appreciated it,and she said she used to help people when she was younger, and it seems like when you help people good karma comes back later to help you,and I think everyone should help others because it makes the world a better place.

I get those all the time!
I try to do something nice for someone every day, although it's usually via the internet. It's good for us to do things for others. It renews our spirits and make our lives more positive as well as brightening the lives of other people.

Good on you Ronald, that is a good and useful deed! I haven’t spoken to many people today because I have been at home but I’ve been here most of the morning. I gave an unhappy MyLotter some good advice and I would like to think I lent a hand so I guess you could say that was my good deed for the day. It’s not a bad thing to attempt to do one good deed each day if possible. It’s nice to focus on others instead of one’s self for a change!

Way to go! I get those emails from paypal phishers too. They usually just go to my junk box though. I'll have to remember to send them to Paypal from now on. I can't think of one "good deed" I've done today. I'll have to work on that..lol..or think about it and get back to you.

In many cases Paypal do put certain accounts on limited mode because of certain documents and papers they need to further verify details. In any case, such problems can not be sorted out without contacting Paypal and hence your contacting paypal was obvious.Any way I can just define your act as "Cautious approach".JPNarayan

It is good that you have informed Paypal of this spoof e-mail. I have done this myself in the past. I have had many phishing e-mails from my bank but I will never log on from an e-mail link as that could be a spoof site too. I always type in my bank URL in my title bar and sign in that way. I have also had phishing e-mails from banks that I have no account with! We really need to take great care to protect our finances when on the Internet. _Derek

I think my good deed of the day is waiving insufficient funds fees for my customers at my job. Since I don't really leave the house that is really the only good thing I can do.

Hi Ronald,
Once I have received a mail like this and my gmail send the same to spam. I have the habit of checking spam folder and deleting the same and I saw the name of paypal there I opened it. But I realized it as a fake mail soon after opening the mail and I too reported the same to paypal. But I have not heard from paypal on the same. We, Indian are facing problem in paypal and that may be the reason for their negligence towards me.

Hi ronaldinu,
Thanks for letting us know about these things, I am really sick of the scammers and paypal don't send out e-mail like that.

I think it's wonderful that you share this with us. I know many of us use Paypal and a while back there were similar problems. We all need to be alert and share what we find, who knows you may save some one some money. Thanks

Nice one ronaldinu Although PayPal could have given you maybe a small monetary reward for your good deed
I have not yet done any good deeds today (neither did I do one yesterday), but it's still only 10 a.m. so I guess I still have a lot of time to make a difference and help somebody out.
