Buying a car, need advice

If you're an expert driver then buying a new one will be the best way to go. If not, then 2nd-hand is better. If you fear of malfunction, seek the opinion of a mechanic before buying the car so that you'll know if it's going to be a good investment or not. Good luck!

I think new cars are overpriced and the best deal is to buy a car that is 1-2 years old - this is as far as the economic side of the story goes. Of course security is the most important factor, however most new cars have at least a 3 year warranty, so if you buy a car 1-2 years old it will still be in warranty. Of course before you decide on anything a certfied mechanic should take a look at the car and see what condition it is in. It is a great feeling to sit in a new car, however I think a used one makes much more sense.

Well I got my first car, I got a 2nd hand car, reason I would to get used to driving and you would not be so worried so much when you drive. However when you choose a car I suggest you get someone experience to go with you for test drive. Get the service record of the car and see if the car is well serviced. Next see the mileage on the car. If it is high that you can expect more malfunctions. By the way how old is the 2nd hand car you are looking for.
