How to encourage picky kids to eat healthy

Some moms are having a hard time balancing daily meals for their kids(ages 6-9 especially) because some are really hard to feed while others are picky eaters. Here are some healthy tips on how to encourage picky eaters to eat in a healthy way: -Introduce new food one at a time so kids won't get confused on the taste of a certain food. -Serve small portions. Don't force your child to eat even if he's already full. -Introduce unfamiliar food with familiar food for greater variety. -Cook food in a different way. Childhood is the time to instill good eating and exercise habits. It becomes much harder to make lifestyle changes in adulthood. Parents play a major role in promoting a healthy lifestyle among kids by serving as role models. In teaching your kids to eat the right food, it is best to introduce to them the basic food groups: grains,vegetables,milk,fruits, and the meat and bean group. By teaching them the benefits of these food groups and the vitamins and minerals they provide, kids can become familiar with them.
