I was wondering is it even possible to make myLot into a main source of income?? i mean its hard enough to make all these discussion topics everyday. What do you have to do to really succeed in this type of online home work? Are their anyone who succeeded?

I dont think what we earn here in mylot is enough to sustain our needs. I use it as a sideline. I teach online to students and I have a lot of free time during the day. While waiting for my students, I use mylot and start discussions and make comments. I think its a good way to have a sideline since what we do here is really easy.

Rather than not getting a job and eating a whole bag of potatoe chips in front your computer all day, you might want to go out and find a career that you enjoy! Otherwise you mind as well make pocket money and buy yourself a bottle coke, your call :)

Whilst theoretically it would be possible to make a living from myLot, practically it’s not.
To manage it you would not only need to be actively contributing with both quality discussions and responses everyday and all day. But you would need to have a lot of referrals who are just as active as you are. Maybe when myLot was just starting out it would have been a bit easier because it’s always easier to gain more referrals for a site which is new rather than one which is established with so many people having already discovered it.
So as you can guess I don’t use myLot as my main source of income rather than just a fun site where I earn a bit of extra pocket cash.

It takes awhile to get to payout through mylot but do not let that discourage.... Mylot is a great site that is fun and it does pay when you reach payout that is more then anyone can say bout alot of sites out there ...... It depends on how hard you work on mylot.... There is alot of things that depends on how you get paid.... starting discussions, comments on discussion, rewards through searching the web, and even referrals and how many comment to your comments or discussions.... So it is all up to you how much you get paid.

I dont think any one here must be getting a huge amount so that he could only depend on this and make this the only source of income. this is good no doubt. but here you can do your work as you can participate in discussions and earn some hard money which is good. but only to accept this as your premier income source is not digestive it think.

yeh you probably would have to spend days hours on the computer and make like 10 cents. but hey its kinda fun and i get a little hope everytime someone comments my discussions :]

IF! If it is possible, I would like to. However, I don't think so unless I am able to response to at least 1000 discussion per day (without having deleted due to infringement of myLot rules) and I don't qualify for the tasks and neither has my photo been a popular hit in myLot. Maintaining my enthusiasm in replying daily is already impossible and I haven't even break a 50 responses a day before so I doubt I can come relying on myLost as my main source of income.

I think it is not very easy to get the amount which is required to have a descent life. I think no one can rely on a single website to earn the money and make a living out of it. You can do it for some time. It is best to have it as an activity you do during your spare time. But then too you get paid for doing that. If you can spend more time, you will have better amount as payout. But the main thing is the experience and the interaction.

what got my interest in mylot when i joined, i was told i could make about $40 a day and so i thought, hey, why not? but unless you are on 24 hours a day, there is no way you could make that much! so here in Canada, it would be pretty difficult to live on the amount that i make on mylot these days (because i do work outside of the house, etc).

Hi hanxyoung :)
Regarding your question, though I earn a good amount of cents here, I don't think I would take this as my main source of income. It isn't even enough to pay the electric bills.
Currently I am an irregular student and got only three "1-hour" days per week so during my spare time I mylot so I could earn money while being in front of the computer for hours. Since I'm always in front of my lappie why not earn from it? :)
But taking this as my main source of income is a no-no. I believe there are still many opportunities in the real world. I just take this mylot so that I can do productive things on my free time. :) It can also help me improve my writing skill and learn more about other ways to make money online :) It's a great online community and I just enjoy my stay here. The few cents are only more greater rewards that this community can offer :D

I dont think it will be possible,i know its good for making extra income for people living in a country where $1 US worth 30-70. Here in India it worth around 45-50 indian currency. Ig i got 1 dollar every five day also,i will only reach around 10 dollar a month, which will come to around Rs450 to Rs500. just enought for my phone bill payment. pheu...

I doubt you can make a full time income from mylot, though it is possible to work from home online and earn a full time income I know because thats what I do he he he
the problem with mylot is its sold to members as a money making site but in actual fact the money you make on here is pennies and people seem to get dis-heartened when they see a few cents a day being added to their mylot account

I doubt too. It will take so much of your time and to mind that when you use your computer you have to pay for your electricity and internet connections. I'm just three months member here but I haven't reach the $10.00. But you know after releasing my thoughts here I get a sense of peace and calmness. At the same time, honestly I am looking for extra money too that is why I use my spare time to mylot.

Hi Hanxyoung. I bought a program teaching how to earn online and according to this program I bought, you need to spend 8 hours doing this to get $30 a month. Hahaha... Anyway, I love posting here because I also learn from responses for my questions. It is not bad to spend your free time. But making this as main source of income, that would mean lots of time and work.

Here in the US I doubt you could make mylot a main source of income. I've been posting non-stop for a few weeks now and although I have been making a good amount of "cents"- it doesn't amount to what I need monthly to live on. Although in other countries the cents they pay is worth quite more if I am to understand correctly..so maybe elsewhere it could be used for main income.

I really doubt that is even possible. I mean you only earn a few cents here a day and that's if you discuss and participate. The most you can do is have some spending money for those times when you don't have any money at all. I don't think i've met anyone that has made a living from doin things like this but I think you would have to work all day to earn some kind of living. Unless you have some sort of website that caters to products and you get paid by those companies. I try not to think too much about the money aspect of mylot anymore and instead discuss and participate whenever I can. If I reach payout then I reach it, if not then there's always next month. Happy Mylotting!
