Friends added without activity from me!

I have not had the possibility to post or use myLot the last few months (think it is over half a year). When I the other day logged on I therefore went through interests and friends and "cleaned up" a bit. For example I have had several friends request during my time gone, which I went through. I also looked at my friend's list to see which of my friends here is still active.
When going through the friend's list I realized that there was names on there of friends that was added on my list without me doing it. For example, friends added that had not been members more than the last 3-4 months, meaning that there is no chance I could have added them last time I was online, which was about 7 months ago.
Has anyone else experienced this? Have you had friends added on your friend's list without you having to answer a friend's request? Anyone with an idea as to why this has happened?

Hi Emi and good to see you back!
Maybe one of them is SharonBucks? She became everyone's friend automatically. She posts the tasks for myLot and we can only PM her about them if she is on our list.
Aftre the upgrade last week, referrals are now automatically added - but that hasn0t happened to the ones I had before the upgrade so.... odd.

Thank you for the BR!
I must rectifiy something Isaid up there.
It seems that there is a glitch (which Admin Alice is aware of) and our referrals are still not added immediately when they register. Hopefully this will soon be rectified as there is no way of contacting them at the moment

I do not think that a friend is added unless either he or she has added us when we send a friends' request, or we get an invite from someone else, which we accept. may be you hurriedly accepted some friends request earlier.
