During those years that internet was not yet in control, I regularly listen to FM radio. I was always updated with the latest in music, like what songs are included on the top 10 hits in every genre. But now, I seldom listen to FM radio. I just able to know some latest music through television and internet. How about you, are you still updated with the latest in music? Do you still listen to FM radio? Glad to hear your responses. Happy myLotting!

I can honestly say that I'm not up to date with today's music at all. Songs that I would consider to be new are those that have been out for months and years. I hardly listen to the radio or watch any music channels so I don't know what's going on. I'd hear about new artists and such but I wouldn't know what songs they sang. As for the radio, the only time that I might listen to it is probably when I'm driving, and that's also a rare occurence. Kind of makes me miss the good old days when I'd stay up late just to listen to the Weekly 40 countdown.

I get updated with the help of my nephew and niece. Age 8 and 6 (hehe..) They have cable channel and they love watching MTV. While we only have regular channels at home. Kids are more updated now. They have collection of songs in their PSP. I admire how they memorized those lyrics and the artist of that particular song. Sometimes caught them singing in front of the mirror. I listen to the radio, but my mother prefers old music. What's good about it is that the radio announcer tell some history about the particular song on air. Same with me, I also get updated through TV and internet.

I still listen to the radio when I'm driving. I know some of the new songs but not as updated as I once was. Things change when you grow older and your priorities are righted LOL. Used to have a problem having no music on the background. Nowadays tho, they seem like "noise pollution" when I am trying to concentrate. I amtrying to balance things now. Don't get me wrong tho, I still love listening to good music. But NOT ALL DAY.

If being updated means knowing what Taylor swift looks like, then yes I'm updated with my music. Although I rather prefer blues, jazz and soul so I seldom listen to new artists. I do love watching movie musicals and sometimes I come across good artists that I'll definitely add to my play list. I like the OST of Across the Universe, Fame and of course Glee. I do think Taylor swift is a great singer but I'm still waiting for her songs to mature. Relatively I'd think myself updated now. There was a time when I really wouldn't care about new songs or artists. I would look stupid every time I tune in to MTV because I'd be asking who's that for about 5 an hour or so.

I was never a big fan of radio, and, except for the very brief period in my early teens when I slavishly watched VH1, I was never very knowledgeable about current music trends either. Once I hit high school, I fell in with an "alternative" crowd of sorts (though we never described ourselves so lamely), and if there's one thing outsiders like in their music, it's obscurity. That, and a good, venerable age. Most of the stuff I was listening to was at least ten years old or only known/liked by geeky music snobs. This is a quality I've retained, though I'm not sure if it's respectable or insufferable. Hahaha. So yeah, I really only listen to CDs. I'm making an exception lately with Pandora radio, though. It still really only plays the music that I tell it to, however, so I'm not sure it counts.

I love music and have the radio playing in the car and in the house. I also get music from the internet so I think I'm fairly updated.

I don't listen to FM radio, only internet radio and it's mostly dance music that I listen to. I am not up to date with any new music whatsoever and I can't stand the radio. It forces you to listen to the same old thing over and over and I don't like that one bit.

During my high school days, I am very much updated about music. I listen to music a lot most especially that I am a member of the band. We use to perform in our school. But when I went to college, we have disbanded and I have also shifted my attention concentrating on my studies. Now, I am more with work and doing fun online. So I am not really updated with music.

Yes. The software I am using tells me what is new recently, so I updated all the latest musics. I haven't listen to FM radio for a long time because my radio is broken. I am think of buying a new one, so I can listen again. I like that feeling. It's great compare to listening on the computer. I love China!

I have a vague idea of what is big in music. Enough so I am not completely ignorant about what is going on in the music world. However, not too much where I am an expert on the situation. The music world just has not been as engaging in the past few years. At least for me, the quality has dipped a bit. There has always been music that I did not care for, but there seems to be a lot more. Still, regardless, I do try and keep up every now and then. I still listen to music on the radio as well. Besides, you never know when we could be moving into an interesting new era of music, that will just crank out quality and awesome music around every corner. Unfortunately, right now, we are in a bit of a dry spell.

I have a 3 yr old so I miss listening to my own music! I used to listen to the radio in the mornings while I was getting ready for work so I was somewhat up to date on the latest top tunes. These days the radio is off and there is either a childrens' tv program on while I make breakfast or there is a kids' cd playing in the vehicle. It's not as bad as it sounds though, I choose some funkier CD's for my daughter and I enjoy most of them.

I would have to say that I'm not always up to date with the latest in pop music because I don't normally tune in to the radio. Videos shared in facebook and those I see on TV keep me as updated as possible though. Also, having teenagers for nieces also helps because they listen to music a lot.

Although I am up to date with the latest music, and listen to the radio regularly when driving about, I much prefer music from by-gone eras, like the 70's, 80's and 90's Modern music I find lacks originality, and most of it sounds like generic rubbish that I forget after a while. However, there are some gems that can still be found
