Poems or Novels. Which one do you like?

I like novels. Actually I can not understand poems. Poets write poems in a sense but people define it many different ways.

since you are indian i will write this in hindi
Kavita ko bikhra ke dekhne se sivay reshe ke kya dikhta hai hai
likhne wala to har bikhre anubhav ke reshe ko samet kar likhta hai.
(you can not nderstand a poem by describing it in length
as a poem is essence of writer's life's experiences)

i most certainly enjoy novels more..i read alot..but i understnad why people write poems also to express their hearts and minds so both are good :)
