I feel personally that kids nowadays are so busy not kept busy by parents that they are not having time to play. They stick on to the TV channels in the little time they have and other time for studies what do you say?

Hi Rorisricha I have to agree with you. I am a student and my life consist of Morning: School Afternoon: Extra school activities (like sports training) Night: Extra classes Midnight: Homework So one might wonder, where's lunch time? Truthfully, lunch time is just a 30 minute break before the next activity starts. There were times I was at school from 7 am to 7pm. How about sleep time? Heh, 8 hours of sleep is such a luxury. A few things that always keep us busy are Homework/coursework/assignments This never ending work keeps us occupied and extremely tired. My friend claims "student's don't copy because they are lazy, its because they have little time for themselves, often exhausted at the end of the day, only to be greeted with a hill of homework" Teacher's must remember that their class is not the only class that a student takes. Multiple classes equals to multiple homework to be finished. I used to start homework at 10.30 (extra night classes only finish at 10) and stop by 12 to have a nap, and wake up again at 3 to finish my homework. Lack of sleep is so common in schools. And think that we can take a break during the weekends? Well frankly a weekend without homework is probably non existent. Maybe we should come up ruling that homework should not be given to be completed during Saturday and Sunday. Extra activities From sports to school society meetings, the amount of things that a student needs to juggle can sometimes be too overwhelming. We had sports almost everyday from mon to fri, and it just took so much of our energy that when we went back home, all we wanted to do is run to our beds and crash. School Events Sometimes when the school plans special events, it is the students that are working their butt off. It is often time consuming and our priorities (that is education) is often neglected. Truthfully, I do pity students who can't cope with this hectic life. Its not their fault they are having emotional breakdowns. And to be honest, the only time I had time to watch the telly was when we had family dinners. Sad as it seems, students life will continue to be this way unless someone is willing to change things around..

I have been a teacher for more than a year now and I have observed that there are a lot of kids who dont have time to play anymore but it depends on their situation. I know one country whose kids just study for a the whole day. They go to their schools in the morning and have to go back to their homes late at night because they have to attend certain academies after school. Sometimes I feel bad for them because they are just kids and they cant actually feel how its like to be a kid.

Thank you for your comment...really this generation kids are not enjoying the life even half of we have enjoyed. I leave my kids freely like not so tight schedule...as I understand them evening from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm they play..and next fresh up and sit for studies like doing home work and again make them sleep by 8:30pm

Yeah, I agree. My 11 year-old nephew is busier than I. Too many courses, extra lesson whatsoever. We realize that competition is getting harder, so parents want the best for their kids. It is normal, as long as they don`t push their children too hard.
