its so shamefull that alot of pastors had turned our churches to bussiness venture, most of them live in luxury while most of there members die in penury,
i dont think offering donation is important,
what do you think.
i think there should be a body that would be governing how money is collected and spent in all churches.
offering should be paid to the needy and not to the pastors,
let us know what you think about your
pastors and your church offering.
regards

I am aware of this but I am proud to say that we are not like this in my erligion. Our pastors have their own jobs and doesnt have to rely on the members' offerings to support their families. Tithes and offerings in our religion goes to so many projects like building chapels in other places, printing out materials that we need to study the word of God, helping the needy and bringing the word of God to other nations. Not that I am boasting but I just wanted to tell people that I know that what I say is true and we could never be dishonest to God.

What a heavy issue, why you said "Business venture? have you proven that he is using the church money for funding his business?" Is your Pastor open for the congregation to see the Accounts so that the people would know where the offerings go? If you don't know yet, then we better be careful stating things that can also hurt the Body of Christ. If we love our brethrens, we should pray for them.
Have you approached your Pastor regarding this? has he responded to you to clear this issue? If not, then rebuke is better than secret love. We should do tell the person in a gentle manner, coz we know who is the accuser of the brethren right?
If you clearly proved that the money was not used according to what the scriptures are saying, then pray to God in whatever means you can Glorify God more. But it is still your responsibility as a brethren to approach your Pastor, if he doesn't do follow according to the Word, then I am sure the Holy Spirit will guide you what is next, because it is not your responsibility anymore. Leave a room for God.
Do not impose anything about where the people of God would give (Pastor or the needy). Alms, offering, pledges and love gifts are different, they are not considered as "payment". Christians give not because they are told to, but their Spirit is one in giving because they are happy. God sees our hearts, not the amount we give. But if our motives for giving is wrong, better not to give because it will only be useless. Do not look upon the mistakes of others, but instead be obedient on what God is telling you to do.
Money is not all that you can offer to God. Your life, your talent, your time and all that you have is Gods.. so don't be stingy because God gave all of Himself to us. If you have doubts on where the money goes to your church, then pray for God to move you so that you can be a good example to others not because you will point your finger to the next person who is also a brethren.
