will india remain the number 1 position in test?

I am just watching and there are only three overs remaining to finish the match. and India needs only one wicket to win this test and to retain the number 1 position in test matches. If India loses the match then Southafrica will become no 1 position and india will go down to 2.

Well now that India has won the match, we can rest assured for some time at least. Well it was a very close call and I think the whole of nation was praying and biting its nails…it was too much really that the last wicket batted for so long.
