India won! And by doing so retains the No1 Test Team Ranking!

It was quite dramatic to say the least. In the second test at Kolkata India and South Africa involved a test match that could match the closeness factor of any T20 game.
India were a bit apprehensive because of weather factor and Hashim Amla factor! He seems to have a liking for Indian bowling and he stuck there like a rock and almost saved the match for the proteas.
But in the end the spinners took India home with brilliant performance. Harbhajan came back into his wicket taking ways and Amit Mishra showed a lot of determination and variations enough to take India home.
This win is a special one for India as it was a question of how they perform when it matters the most. And they did perform! Well done!
No matter still there are some flaws but now is the time to celebrate and have fun!
Wish the Indian team more such wins and performances!

ya india deserved to win this match. but amla give a good fight to save the match.
but in the end it was Indias day.

Fantastic victory for India. What stuck me most in this was the patience that the bowlers showed. Also, the fact that they got the remaining wickets with Zaheer to bowl his usual incisive spells was fantastic.
Congratulations to India team for the victory and for the No. 1 Test Team ranking. The standout performer today was Amla. He was calm and collected even when others around him panicked. It was a fantastic performance from him and he deserved the Man of the Match and Series awards.

ya India won the match and the number 1 team in the world... but south africa played a better game than India...
a number 11 batsman was batting for almost 20 overs on eden gardens, shame to the indian spinners...
i was very happy to see dhoni, happy to keep fielders around the bat rahted than looking to stop runs {which are his usual ways most times}
India needs better spinners... someone should be capable of filling up kumble's spot... harbajan can never be a front line spinner.. he is always a good supporting bowler...

Its thanks to indian team that they won the 2nd test match and level the series
1-1.Now india retain their place as first rank in test side south africa were
second place then after follows australia so on.
Every indian player has performed very well in 2nd test match between india and
south africa at eden garden kolkata.
Harbhajan singh(5 wickets),amit mishra(3 wickets) and ishant sharma(2 wickets) had very well bowl in second innings.
Well done india.

It was a great fight put up by Hashim Amla as he was their till the last batsman got out and deservedly won the man of the series award since he batted superbly and showed lots of temperament on the Indian pitches and was the only batsman in the second match in the Proteas arsenal who gave the Indians a scare! But kudos to Team India who despite of not fielding their spearhead bowler Zaheer Khan bowled brilliantly and got the Proteas out, defying the weather also to come in their way and rightly so claimed their No. 1 spot in Test cricket by defeating the South Africans. Hope Team India shows more consistent performance of this kind and give us some outstanding cricket play like this to cheer for!!
