There are so many ways to say love in so many different language. The first time my boyfriend said it to me, I knew I couldn't top it so I said 'I adore you' plus I wasn't ready. He smiled and said the same thing as we made it our own. I guess it depends on how you make the moment. Adoration is also like love without the infatuation. It's cute without all the pain involved. So without sounding overly intoxicated, you can also be romantic by being creative with synonyms which have meanings to the both of you.

it depends on how people use it. like for instance... "OURS" is a romantic word for me. because in saying that i include my better half. there is no mine or hers... just "OURS."

For me its "I LOVE YOU". We do not repeat this word many times as we should. I do love our family and friends but we should let the other person know that I love him/her.
Another word for me is "JANU" may be non-hindi speaking people will not understand this.
I love you is the word for me.
let's repeat this as many times as we can but truly :)

for me, other than love, sorry is one of those romantic words. especially if you could see the sincerity of the person saying it....it simply melt my heart.

I've had two boyfriends describe me as a goddess. Boy, did that make me feel special. It's feminine and alluring, but it also denotes strength and independence. It made me feel like a woman instead of a girl.
As far as words that conjure poetic, romantic images in my head, there's tons. Bloom, blossom, moonlight, kiss, tender, glade, silver, gold, crimson, scarlet, willow, bosom, corazon, etc. Don't ask me why some of these make me think of romance. I think maybe it has something do with Aragorn, Arwen, and Tolkien's purple prose. Hahaha.

I think that one of the most romantic word, if not the most, is the word forever. But the thing here is, this word is abused and overused. :|
