I have been in a discussion about this topic with my friends but was not able to find the exact result for this? I read about Some explosion which made clock stop at 10:10 i their watch, even I read about Abrahim Lincoln death due to a bullet shot to him at 10:10 pm. Even I read that it is just for good and positive appearance as it appears to be a smiley at the time 10:10.
I have also read that when clocks were invented they showed the time 10:10:35am so all clocks and watches show this timing. But still not a single answer is sure. What do you think about this timing and why this time only??

putting 10:10 creates the look of symmetry.I read that symmetrical looks are perceived as attractive.same as those what we perceive as pretty faces.they are symmetrical.when the clock's or watch's hands are in 10:10,it looks symmetrical and attracts consumers more.

Certain people have a sub-conscious time embedded into their head that they always seem to notice more than any other time
Maybe you have some weird spiritual connection with Abe Lincoln, which is why you are attached to this specific time. How cool would THAT be?

Mrrrrrr. Kennedy... Kennedy
It was not cool at all, I have done some research and so I shared some of the results which I got. I think you have spiritual connections with someone close to Abrahim Lincoln because you are referring him as "Abe" as if it was his nickname and you used to call him that way.
Now How was that??

This is just for aesthetics. When the hands are positioned in a 'V' like this, eyes would be drawn to the center of the V. Which is where most clock manufacturers put their logos on.
I don't think it has any other significant meaning other than this.

I don't know the exact reason as there are so many rumors as to why it is read like that. But my high school teacher told us it's for marketing purpose, to show the brand of the clock.
