Similar Price?How to make a choice?

My computer is equipped with seven years ago, and now want to replace it. I have found that AMD's Phenom II and INTEL's E8x00, i3 processor price difference is not big, so ask the master to recommend a configuration, the price of 600 dollars. Contains the display and the host, without keyboard, mouse, speakers, headphones.

My teacher in computer repair course said, if you are fond of online gaming, you should go for AMD brands.

FIRST OF ALL THANKS FOR YOU WORDS!!! My first computer is AMD's system,so I want to try INTEL's system.BUT BUT BUT,INTEL is so expensive ,so may be I have to still AMD. THANKS AGAIN!I'm very glad to be your friends in MYLOT.
