I am not asking this question in a manner that would suggest that working in the sewer is demeaning because someone has to do it and its honest work .However lest face it, most of would never answer "sewer worker" if we were asked what do you want to be when you grow up" nor would you think about working in the sewer as your dream job .
However here is an opportunity to make this incredible amount of money for two months more than most persons will earn for ten years and all you have to do is shovel "sh**",lol. Now this is an opportunity to find out if job satisfaction is overated and money talks when bullsh** walks(no pun intended lol). The thing though is that after teh two months you may be able to leave your boring desk job and may even open your own business or go on an extednded vacations ...
So would you do it

hell yeah I most certainly would,
working in the sewer system would be no different to working in a busy city breathing in all the exhaust fumes, or working on a farm shovelling waste he he he
and just think of it no one to bother you, no one looking over your shoulder telling you what to do like say an office job, I think it would be a cool job if am honest obviously smell might be bad but no worse than exhaust fumes and a lot less damaging to your health
so in answer to your question yeah I would indeed.

Here's my answer.
I would do the job with stipulations. Those would be:
1). I would be able to wear a gas mask,
and
2). I would be able to have disposable clothing that I could get rid of each day.
As a teenager growing up in a farm community I cleaned hog and cow barns by hand so this couldn't be much worse.

I wouldn't mind doing that for that amount of many. There are people out there that do that work anyway and don't get paid anywhere near that amount. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. I have respect for those people who do that kind of work.

I think that people should only sacrifice so much. That is to say that when it comes to jobs, if they are happy where they are truly happy then they should turn down the offer. I also think that if working in the sewers makes them happy then they should do that.
I guess what I am trying to say is, I would not do it, for no amount of money in the world. I would definitely not do it if I was in a secure job that I really loved!

Money is not everything as far as i am concerned. There are people who would do anything for hard cash, even murder, but i am not one of them.Yes money is important but only someone really desperate would do something like that. Again i am not against such work and i respect persons who are forced to do something like that as society needs everyone to contribute in some way or the other even if the profession is of the lowest grade.even if my job is boring or low paying but if it brings mesufficient income and job satisfaction then i would stick to it no matter if i am offerred a million dollars just to clean the sewer.

Sure would! I may not enjoy the stench of a sewer and it certainly would not be easy work but two months of it would set me up for life. I used to do cleaning years ago and I enjoyed it even though a lot of it consisted in scrubbing disgusting toilets. I didn’t think I could do it at first but eventually I got used to it and didn’t mind it all. I realise a sewer is much worse and smellier than a toilet but a million is a lot of dollars!

I can't really say because in our town, sewers are like tiny drainage system and I doubt any average-height men can fit into it but I guess that big a money would make anybody work just about anything. I've seen people eat disgusting stuff for less just as a dare, people do ridiculous things for less, but this is an honest job so I think it's far better than robbing and any other nonsense.

Haha...I'd probably do it, I'm not saying that I would enjoy it, but to make a million dollars in two months is pretty good. I'd have to keep reminding myself everyday that it'll be worth it..lol.

Too be honest I would. All you would have to do is get a suit that like covers your whole entire body so that way you don't get any of the sewage on your actual body. Definitely make sure you have a good mask to cover your whole entire face too and work wouldn't really be that bad if your getting paid that much money. You would be set for a while and you would be able to open a lot more opportunity with all of that money.
You kind of have to spend money to make money in most cases and you could also pay for classes and things like that to help you learn new trades to further help benefit your life. I would much rather preserve my time and work a crappy job instead of losing time from my friends and family and other things I enjoy.

who cares?I would gladly take the job.cleaning sewers may be demeaning, but in the end money talks.I can take all the grime and dirt from cleaning sewers,1 million is worth it.after cleaning,I can open my own business and fatten my bank account.two months worth of working in a sewer with 1 million pay is worth more than slaving in the office with menial salary.

i agree with you many people will underestimated the work of a sewer but if giving a chance to work as a sewer with that big salary for 2 months i would grab the oppurtunity because in that kind of amount i think my dreams will be come true because im rich and i can do what i want and buy what i want.

I would definitly do it, because it's an honest and decent job and I would make a sh**load of money with it (lol, couldn't resist that joke!).
Like you said I wouldn't go around solliciting for a job like this one but that's also because my interest is in working with children. I am kind of used to handling poo on a daily basis, that might help! .

For a million dollars? Of course I would
If working in the sewers for two months will mean that I am a millionaire by the end of it, then where do I sign up?

A million dollars is a lot of money. Two months is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. There are far worse things that I can do than working in a sewer, for that amount of money. So, while money is not anything, working two months in a sewer might in fact be the easiest million dollars that I have ever made in my entire life. For a million dollars, I would run downtown naked during the coldest part of winter. So, really, for two months of a discomforting job, a million dollars is really something that I think I would be coming out ahead on. In fact, I would wonder if the person offering had sustained severe head trauma or was just completely insane.
