common error in buying a computer or laptop would be deciding on a model before laying out what it's gonna be used for. I admit to committing this same mistake since I easily drool over new products. But now that everything needs to be managed right I've started thinking this over. You'll get a lot of savings if you establish what your current load will need. For example if you're using it for games then you should look for laptops with good graphics cards and nice sounds. But if you're using it for office applications and basic applications and Internet surfing , you'll find out that a netbook is way cheaper. Video editing will have to have bigger RAM and better graphic cards. Bottom line is, it will be a waste to buy something that has features that you wouldn't actually use.
