A really good series to get into is the Sword of Truth series. It's by Terry Goodkind. The books are long and there's 12 books in the series. It is really good, my friend got me into them. The first book is called Wizard's First Rule. I am just starting the second book.

In the aftermath of the brutal murder of his father, a mysterious woman, Kahlan Amnell, appears in Richard Cypher's forest sanctuary seeking help ... and more. His world, his very beliefs, are shattered when ancient debts come due with thundering violence.
In their darkest hour, hunted relentlessly, tormented by treachery and loss, Kahlan calls upon Richard to reach beyond his sword-- to invoke within himself something more noble. Neither knows that the rules of battle have just changed ... or that their time has run out.
This is the beginning. One book. One Rule. Witness the birth of a legend.
That's what the book is about. It is surpsingly good. I wasn't sure if I would like it but my friend convinced me to give it a chance because we both like the same series...
Also another good series is the Stookie Stackhouse series. This is the series that TruBlood (the show) is based off of. Of course the books are better. This one is about vampires coming public and it takes place in Northern Louisiana. There's a few main vampires throughout the whole series and the main character of the book is a girl named Stookie Stackhouse and she can read minds. It's very interesting and an easy read.

I think anything written by James Patterson. Its he Alex Cross Series. They would be a great read for you. He has written so many good books. I have never come across one that I didn't like. The series starts with "Along Came a Spider", second is "Kiss the Girls" and then Jack and Jill. If you go to James Patterson's website you will find the list of all his books besides this series. He has written many and some with other authors. You will not be disappointed. One of his other books not in the series, which was my favorite is called "When the Wind Blows." Another great read!
