...I'm not sure we were watching the same episode then!
Sarah Palin, as well as her daughter, have both stating that Seth Macfarlene, and his writers are insensitive jerks, because of one episode where they have a young girl with Downs Syndrome, and at the end of the episode, Chris Griffin (the son) asked what the girls parents do, and her response, "My mother is a former governor of Alaska."
Now Sarah Palin has a young son, who also has Downs Syndrome, and they took that to great offense...BUT, the episode was about Chris Griffin gathering the courage to ask this young girl out, hrm, alright, don't see the insult there Sarah, the writers are showing that someone CAN have a crush on someone with downs syndrome, that Chris really thought the young was pretty, and love the way she was, thought she was GREAT. Do you see an insult there? No? Neither do I.
The show continues to the actual date, (Stewie helped Chris out with this, along with a little song and dance sans Brian the dog, whom they are both famous for) and then it's time to go back to the girls place.
This is where the writers show how there is absolutely nothing wrong or different with people who have downs syndrome, by making her turn into a jerk! As well as hurting Chris feelings.
SO - rundown - They didn't poke fun at the girl with Downs Syndrome, they wrote her as a common character with the same flaws as anybody else...hrm...a little bit of a "zinger" MAYBE pointed at you Sarah, BUT, I just don't see the need for you, or your family to be insulted...In fact, the fact that you're insulted, makes YOU out to be offended by your own son!
So listen, babe, I'm sorry the White House didn't work out for you, but you gotta stop taking everything as an insult, because hey, when you're hogging the lime light, like you are so doing, as well as being HYPOCRITICAL, (Look for Obama/Palin teleprompter in case you don't know what I'm referring to), then get used to people trying to poke fun at you, which I do not acknowledge as the Family Guy writers as doing to you.
OH! and - GET OFF THE STAGE!
This is just a vent topic, but still feel free to leave a comment.

I think she likes to talk a lot, and she also realizes she's running out of topics.
I also think it's unfair that she feels the need to beat up on her Daughters boyfriend, PUBLICLY, just because she's shocked at his behavior...what happened to privacy Palin? She should start working on eggshells, because if she's not careful, she might get sued by someone.
She can try using the "Freedom of Speech" technique, but that will only get you so far, especially if she tries using that against someone who is complaining about her, well actually, now I wanna see that, just so she'll be even MORE hypocritical lol.
Thanks for responding and happy myLotting!

Russia...NO. Just someone who was familiar with her practices BEFORE she ever got nominated for VP. McCain chose her hoping for the women's vote but it just backfired because he didn't do his research first. The woman is a blight that has been on the environmentalist & many other groups hit list for ages. That hardly helped his presidential run even though it gave her the spotlight she so craves.

OH! and - GET OFF THE STAGE!
News flash: Sarah Palin's a public figure. She's a spokesman for the conservative movement, and she has every right to appear in public settings. I'm sorry that YOU are offended, but hey...get used to her staying on the stage.

I don't recall saying I was offended, just that I find her hypocritical, and don't see how she's offended.
Also, I'm Canadian, so no, I don't have to deal with her at all, I just saw the news article and I felt the need to vent about the hypocrisy.
And thanks, I had no idea why she was still a public figure, since she is no longer a governor. So the conservative movement, is this just for Alaska, or all of the US?
