If I open my big book of dessert recipes, I can definitely say cookie recipes outnumber everything else. From the traditional chocolate chip cookies to gingersnaps, I have at least a dozen of each!
There are a few recipes that I use over and over again: my "holy grail" recipes. Funny enough, I started to realized exactly where I get these recipes.
Take for example, the chocolate chip cookies that everyone asks for the recipe for was actually from a novel that I had read. It didn't describe the ingredients in full detail or anything, just scraps and pieces from dialogue between two characters. I filled out the blank spots, and voila! My best cookie recipe.
So, where do you get your cookie recipes? From neighbours? Word of mouth? Magazines? Or are you like me, who copy down anything and everything resembling a recipe?

Yup! Eating is always good. What do you think happens to the cookies after I bake them? :)
