what do you do while you are cooking?

I love to cook and when I'm cooking I'm fully occupied. In other words I need no music to sing along with. I like to bake bread and pies. I'm always trying to change a recipe, so that it fits my taste. I found a recipe for sugarless apple, and raisin pie, and when I tasted the pie I found it slightly sour. Next time, I added 3 TBS of honey and it came out just perfect.

i also listen to music while cooking or sometimes i sing while cooking. :P

it`s hard to answer because i seldom to cooking.iam only cooking a noodless.and it only take 5 minutes.LOL

Mostly, I clean as I go while I am cooking so there aren't mountains of dishes and pots waiting for me. Sometimes, depending on what I am cooking, I will watch a bit of something on TV or check in with the computer, also just for a break during cook time. I also continually stir and taste, etc., again, depending on what I am cooking. Some dishes don't demand constant nurturing and attention, while others do. I do not listen to music.

I do too. It relaxes my mind. Cooking for me is relaxing enough especially when I am preparing something "experimental" for my wife. I love to cook. I listen to music while I'm at it. Sometimes, while I'm in the middle of putting an ingredient to boil, I stay in the garden, have a cup of coffee and just relax. So when I prepare my much awaited dish -- it would be a guaranteed delight.

Too bad we don't have a stereo in the kitchen but I dance randomly while cooking so as not to get bored from standing. But when cutting and peeling some vegetables, I just behave to avoid hurting myself.

listening to music also, dishes, straightening up a lil bit and wiping down things as they cook or til they need to be stirred again.

Hi, emine08. When I am cooking, I don't have any noise in the background. It kind of helps out with my concentration level. But, I do like listening to the radio or the T.V. I like the company especially when I am home alone.

My favorite way to cook is using the crock pot! So what I am doing while I am cooking is an endless list! I could be running a 5K, watching a movie, working or even here on mylot!

I loves cooking for my family...but normally while cooking , my mind already starts to think about tomorrow's menu..hehehehe..well..a music is a bonus but unfortunately, my house doesn't have any radio so..i just do my cooking faster while start to clean at the same time ..so afterthat..i can relax myself watching the tv..hehehe

I usually just watch tv, or sometimes I do mylot while I cook.. Hahahaa. I don't really cook that much, and whenever I do, it's just a simple meal, cause I don't know how to cook those fancy meals where you have to prepare a lot of things. Hehehe.

Well in my case cooking is not my job, I do it for fun. I like to listen to music when I cooking it makes you enjoy even more. I would usually make my self a few pegs of whiskey to go with it. Then turn the music up and start chopping an cooking. I like cooking it is my favorite pass time, so I make it more enjoyable by playing music on the laptop or i pod.

I listen to music while I cook lunch. But dinner, I am usually thinking about the day, my family and praying.

We have both television and stereo in the kitchen. I like to have the television on so I can keep up with my shows. I can also keep an eye on things from where the table is so if I have time, I can sit and watch. Once in a while I will put the stereo on but mostly just the t.v.

Yes, i like cooking since from a tender age of 10 when my mother started to teach me how to cook. Now, i am able to cook varieties of dishes to suit my family appetite. During cooking, i will listened to music, so that i will concentrate to cook my dishes nicely. I do agreed that listening to music will makes cooking a fun experience. Sometimes, i watch television for a change when i am bored with listening to music. Happy to hear that everyone enjoy cooking in the kitchen, since it's a best way to save some money in the long run, as well.

I love to listen to music too when I cook. I sometimes sing at the same time cooking. Someone ones told me that when you are cooking, all you have to have are all the positive emotions. If you are angry when you are cooking, then the result of it is not very good.

I homeschool my son so we are together pretty much 24/7 and he likes to talk A LOT. So, I like to enjoy the quiet whenever I can and cooking is one of those times. LOL

i love to cook. it is my job, when my parents are not in the home. i always sing a rap song when i am cooking.. and i always smile so that it is more delicious when the cooker is happy.. the food that you cook will reflect to the cooker as my mother said.. and i find it interesting... how about you?? do you know how to cook?
