It has been a week or so since I approved a new friend request and WOW, new improvements.
Instead of making us wade through pages and pages of people to find and turn on the notification for a new friend, myLot put our most recently added friends first and turned notify on already. Now I call that a great improvement.
Do you think Alice had a hand in this? I am beginning to really like Alice. What about you?
Also, if you care to answer, do you check out the profile of a new friend before accepting the request and why or why not?

drannhh, Hi! Actually I didn't approved any one recently and neither there was any request for, otherwise also I am not that enough smart to notice such improvements I take life as it is and as it comes; On the other hand all these improvements is definitely is the splendid work done by Alice only, there's no doubt it.
After a long gap I am back and noticed your discussion and just answering you,and yes I do the check before approving any one new by going through the profile who is concerned, but again it is difficult to elaborate on what condition I approve or reject them it depends upon my liking etc.

I've noticed some new improvements, too. I haven't seen that one, yet, as I haven not been approving any new friends lately. I haven't been on here much, so I really don't want to add to my friends list. I do check out their profile because, in the past, I've had friends requests from people who were obviously anti-American or had some other kind of issue that I didn't want to deal with.

Hi drannhh! Great to see you as always! I didn't notice that
the notifys were automatically on when a new friend was added!
That does sound way kewl! Go Alice! And as for checking the
profiles before adding a new friend, the answer for me is
yes! I always like to check out someones profile just to make
sure that they are not looking for friends to add for the purpose
of referrals for some other site or making money! I almost
never deny a friend request! I love making new friends! That's
the reason for being on mylot! The more friends we make the
more fun we gave and the more we learn!

Hey Opal! I check the profiles too and like you, seldom deny a friend request, but if I see they are spamming with their referral links or other red flags, then I do. Or if their content is not family-friendly. Or if, as Darlene mentioned, they are bashing other people's culture.

No responses at all? I'll be the first.
Alice did have a hand in this but so did many of your fellow members.
Did you know you can also sort your friends? If you haven't already, try editing your profile. You can also hide your age! I believe someone suggested that too.
