how often do you forget where you have kept your keys?

There are a two things that always get lost for me. The keys and the remote control of the television. Still, keys do get lost a lot. Often times, they got lost in an embarrassing way. They are thrown down somewhere and slide underneath something. I find myself searching in a frantic manner for my keys at least once a week. Perhaps even more, depending on how lucky I am. Often they are lost in the most obvious places. Sometimes, I have to hunt for a bit more for them. Still, they do get lost often for some reason. Both that and the remote, two things that tend to go missing more often than anything in this house for some reason. I have no idea why this happens, it just does.

This happens with me for my spectacles than keys I must say. True such forgetfulness if not rare for me. But then I have found a way of fighting it by leaving keys in a specified place. The way I track down the probable palce of keys being kept depends upon the what the keys are for. Like if they are car keys anf I had not left them at the pre-designated place(not a key hanger), then they must be in my pant pockets of the last worn pair. I am able to track down fairly easily. Th trouble is for something I hadn't used in a long time. That is when I will be on a wild hunt. There are times when I had my specs placed at such a spot that ity gets camouflaged in tyhe background and I don't seem to find them, my sight being weakened due to their absence in the first place. I do not know why people are forgetful, but in my case for me anything that does not contribute to my intellectual growth is a trivial thing.If it were only a book, even if I had mislaid them several months, before I will almost get to them within minutes. One thig if I had left them back in the book shelf it is OK. But I have partly read books strewn all round the place for I have this habit of reading several books at the same time. But with all te variety I will more easily track down books than anything else. In my opinion, remembrance and forgetfulness have to do more with the importance that a particular thing has in your life than your age.

I do if I put them in a location that is unusual for me. My kids distract me so much that I just put them down wherever and then end up scratching my head trying to figure out where I left them. Nothing like a demanding kid when you come in the door and you can't even get your coat ect off & they are having a fit. *sigh*

hi, At least 4 to 5 times in a week. Therefore, I hv found a solution to this problem. I keep the duplicate key in the drawer of fridge's cover. instead of wasting time in searching the lost key, I take out the duplicate key and as soon as I find the original key, I hang it on the key stand and replace the duplicate one in its proper place.

I seldom forget where I placed my keys, as I have this habit of keeping the keys immediately after use. At home, I always hang my keys on a hook nailed to the wall just behind the door. I don't remember I ever landed in a situation where I have to search for my keys high and low just because I forgot where I placed them.

Yes I do forget about it but usually only when I'm home. When I go out I always keep them in my purse but as soon as I get home I never put them in the same place so usually I have to look for them almost everyday. it's stressing but I get distracted as I come home and do it without even thinking.

Yes i forget many times.. because my memory power are very weak.. so after that i put my all keys on a particular place.. which is known by me.. and now i have solved my problem of forget keys.. have a nice day and keep myloting always..
