You think they don't agree with your desire? have you told them your opinion? i think you should explain it carefully, tell them the good and advantages, i guss they will understand what you want. good luck!

We had a large BBQ like picnic for our guests. We couldn't afford a fancy hall or caterer but I think we did what we could afford and it turned out just fine.

Hi Emediloy, I just got married, and I had the wedding of my dreams at the Ice Hotel, it was amazing. There were only seven of us all together, but we truly had a fab time. It was a gorgeous, fairytale-like place, it was absolutely breath-taking; quite literally! I don't personally know anyone else that has married there, although, obviously I have read about other weddings there. I always dreamt of a nice intimate wedding, and that was what I got. We had a small reception when we got home, and there were about 20 people who attended. Again, this was fantastic, even though it was a small gathering, it meant we got to spend lots of time with each guest. Have you just got engaged? If so, congratulations!

I am in no way a people person so personally I prefer to have a smaller wedding no more that about 75 people. My boyfriend is very outgoing and has a lot of friends so I believe that the wedding will be bigger than I anticipate. I plan to have it on a golf course or a beach. Some where that really accents the FL weather here! I have yet to think about the details of a wedding. I choose to wait until that question is 'popped' before I get my hopes and plans up. I believe that prewedding planning would really take away from the wedding preparation once the question has been popped. Then it will become this even longer drawn out wait until that 'big day'!

Now that you mentioned it, a beach party would be nice! I intend to marry very later on in my life (after I get rich and famous with a hard paying job) A ceremony on the beach at sunset would be a blast and after the ceremony (which wouldnt be such a cahoot, a small ceremony with friends and family is fine) we would have a lovley dinner besides the beach and at night, everybody could go take a swim!
