What Type of Restaurant...

I’ve been playing some Facebook games lately and two of them are restaurant games, which got me to thinking. If I was going to open a real restaurant, I think it would be either a pizza place or a baked potato place. I love pizza so opening my own could be awfully dangerous…I’d eat all the pizzas LOL I also love baked potatoes so that would probably be better for me…have a baked potatoes with all kinds of different toppings on them. I also thought about a dessert shop with all kinds of desserts but that wouldn’t work too good with me…especially since I can’t have sweets. So what kind of restaurant would you open if you could? What kind of dishes would you specialize in? Any special themes you’d use? PS. I tried to add a pic to this discussion but MyLot isn't letting me add any :( **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I would open a southern cooking restaurant. Everything made from scratch and not healthy for you. Use real bacon fat for seasoning, butter all the good stuff. I would serve BBQ, fried chicken, corn bread, meatloaf, fresh vegetables, and all homemade deserts.

I would open a vegetarian restaurant but I would open it over in Northern Ireland as I have noticed being vegetarian myself that they do not cater very well for vegetarians over there and I am yet to come across a vegetarian restaurant Hopefully it would go down well as it is something a bit different. I would specialize in home made food as I think you can't beat the taste of something home made.

I often find it hard to find anything at restaurants that is vegetarian. Since I quit eating meat I notice that most places have dishes that all contain meat. I think your place would go over well. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

restaurant - We have our own restaurant business.
We have our own restaurant business and it serves different dishes.I think i would love it that way so that people could choose what they really like.We try to serve whatever people want as we can.Mostly, we serve Mexican Italian and American food.Somebody, suggest that we should also serve Asian foods which we are currently thinking about it.

I would love to open a place that serves only drinks and deserts. Have a place with couchs and booths to sit at. Serving all different types of deserts from Ice Cream to cheesecake. Drinks would include coffee, espresso, tea of all types, hot chocolate, hot apple cider and liquors.

What a good idea...kind of a coffee shop type place. A place to sit and visit over coffee and cake (or whatever you fancy). I would definately try it out. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Very good question, I never thought about this before If I could, I would open up an Italian restaraunt probably. They have such a wide variety of culinary delights, both sweet and savoury, and I would be able to implement an Italian renaissance decor

hi! I know that game on facebook, but have never played it! If I want to open a restaurant I think i willopen a CHinese one, because the chinese/Asian food is very delicious and it is also fast to cook. ANd people like when they go in an restaurant not to wait 20-30 minutes for the food they have ordered

I have been thinking about this a lot, I think I would have a restaurant that featured soup, salad and sandwiches. Right now I am the best at making different and unique soups, so I think I could have many different soups a salad and a sandwich at one set price for the lunch crowd and thicker soups with a meat and starch for the dinner crowd.

Pizza & baked potatoes sounds like a good one. I use to have a friend that wanted me to open a restaurant. i already was working 2 jobs, i thought at times that was more than i could handle. If i had ever decided it would just have had the theme of good ol' southern cooking.

I think I would like to open a place that introduced fruit and vegetables and chicken, pork and such in a unique way. May highlights dishes from other countries. Less processed food and more nature. Mixing fruit and vegetables in a totally different way. I think it would be interesting. Alot of new age people in my area and I think it would go over well.

For me it would most likely be a breakfast type of place. We used to have a cafe here that specialized in omelets of all kinds, over a hundred of them, and the place was always busy. The owner retired and closed the place down. If I had had the money I would have opened it back up

I could make a better pizza than any of our pizza places. That's 100% for sure. But since there are 3 pizza places in town, there's competition. I'd have to share the customers with 3 other places, There are no baked potato places. Is it because no one wants one, or just because no one tried yet? Desert would be hard. With the exception of take away for Friday night dinner or parties, people usually just want a sweet roll and instant coffee. Yuck, I know, ordering instant coffee out is gross, but people here love the stuff.

I don't have any desire to open a restaurant, but if absolutely forced to give an answer, I might say "salad bar".

Sign me up to go to your potato place. I can't eat tomato sauce and most places put the saltiest cheese they can find on a non-tomato sauce slice. I can't have too much salt either. I'll have broccoli, cheese, with chopped green onions on top, please.I love it when I go to order at Wendy's because they have that broccoli cheese stuffed potato. What's your favorite topping? My husband would go if you put chili and cheese on top of his baked potato. I would open a bakery with everything from scones to double-dutch chocolate cake and really, really sinful cheesecake. But I would way hundreds of pounds, I gained 10 lbs just working the Farmer's Market baking one day a week one summer. Raw apple bread and brownies sold well as well as cinnomon-raisin scones.

Hi Twoey, All I use on Facebook is my Fairy Garden, but am not keen on pizza's so instead would come to your baked potato restaurant or that is what I would want if you sold both! lol Hugs LoLo

Oooo...a pizza restaurant could be fun. I've been watching a trend, that maybe is local, I don't know. I see people ordering pizza and breadsticks...and then not eating their pizza crusts. Makes no sense to me. If I had a pizza restaurant, I'd cut the crust off before serving. Then I'd melt cheese and seasonings on the cut-up crust and serve as the breadstick order, along with ranch or other dipping sauces.

For me that would be easy. I would open up a steak house specializing in all kind of steaks. I am very meant and patatos. I would have it to wear you can order any kind of steak and have it cooked any way. as for them, I would select a causal dinning theme.

What an excellent question. I love all kinds of food, but if I were to open my very own restaurant it would have to be a seafood place. Something fancy and high end, you know, the kind of place that serves tiny portions for a huge profit.
