The embalmer finds dead woman really alive?!?!?!?. It happened in Columbia, the woman had a heart attack and was declared dead, but as the embalmer was to start his job, he saw her move her arm and sent her back to the hospital. Now, I dont know about you, but how can they do such a thing in 2010? How many more were embalmed and werent dead??? My mom died 4 yrs ago and she died in her sleep. I always felt that maybe.....just maybe.....what if....but all my family told me it couldnt happen, they have sophisticated equipment today and a doctor can REALLY tell if someone is dead or not.....well it seems NOT!! What do you think? Does it bother you that this "mistake" can happen? What can be done to make sure then? What if the embalmer hadnt been watching the body before he started?

Normally I write pretty long responses but to this I can only say one thing: "It is called the Practice of medicine." Meaning that we haven't yet gotten it quite right.

Hello Psycospaz. Yes I know its the "practice" of medicine but I wish the doctors knew also. They think they detain the truth and know it all. I think they need to get down back on earth and know that they DO make mistakes........and quite often, too often if you ask me. They dont do as many with animals.....so why dont we get the same respect!! Thank you for your short but to the point reply!!

You're very welcome, I agree with you about the animals. I love that our furry little family members can get great care, but I would love the same care. I guess I am just jaded when it comes to doctors, and hospitals.

There are some cases in life which we cannot explain nor understand. As they say, not all things in life should be understood but to be only accepted. I believe that in this case, it is truly a miracle. This is one of God's wonders which is done for a purpose. Moving on, we cannot blame doctors for their lapses. They are professionals, i know. But just like human naturally, they have their own imperfections. But their motivation for work is to try their best to keep alive their patients and attend them utmost for their worth services. Everything happens for a reason. We should always take this note to keep our doubts and questions away from our minds and keep our faith in Him who knows the purpose of all things happening.

Hello Uniqueorn!! Yes you're right, I also believe everything happens for a reason, but at times some of those reasons are hard to understand. Thanks for sharing with me!

There was a short story about this in a Stephen King book, it was really scary. It was a story written on a first person view, the one who is going to be embalmed accounts his experience in the room. It was funny too. It's a fiction but it made me wonder if the poison in that story is true and that if such cases ever happened?

Well that's a scary one! I don't know how that could happen but it did. Shouldn't they wait a certain amount of time before shipping them out to the embalmer? Somebody should be held accountable for this situation. Doctors, you can't live with them and you can't live without them. But this one is definitely too much.

There should be an investigation about how come the medical practitioners failed to detect life when the woman had a heart attack. I am sure that there is just an error at the side of the doctors. We need to know the whole story first before we can jump into another scenario.
