Angela Martin.. Didn't make 24, but still great news.

I think it's stupid, and kind of retarded that this happened, but whatever.
So, Angela was on Ellen (The girl who was on there for the 3rd time, first time her father was killed, second time she had to go to jail) anyway, she was on Ellen.. and after she performed, Ellen told her that Kara's going to produce a song for Angela, and she was getting a record deal through Kara.
I understand if they told her somewhere behind cameras that she was just too good to be a competitor.. But if they didn't, why wouldn't you just keep her on the show? It just doesn't make sense to me.
What do you think of that?

I believe they should have had her on the show and let one of the 16 year olds come back next year. I thought it was so cruel to let her go thru all this and not be picked after her 3rd attempt. It just wasn't fair at all.

I agree, especially if they found her to be THAT good that they just handed her a record deal just like that. Why not let her prove herself to the judges and the fan base? She was good enough all 3 times to make it past hollywood week and had to leave for reasons besides just not being good enough. She could have proved greatness.. I definitely hope she can prove she's better than Idol, too with this Record deal with Kara.

LOL. I mean, she deserves to be on the top 24. She sings great than some of those who were selected. I find it really awful. I agree with you, the 16 year old girl can come back next season and she (angela) can totally beat her vocally. Hmpf!

I expected her to be on top 24. Honestly! Shes goood! I can't find any reason not to put her on top 24. But I'm glad to hear that news from yours. Really?! That's great!
She deserves to be a singer. It's her dream and passion. She fights for it and she never give up, never given up even on the nth time. Imagine she auditioned 3 times and every time shes almost there, unexpected things are bound to happen. Weird. But at least Ellen and Kara helped her to be the person she wants to be. To be a performer. I'm so happy about it.
