if you look at the statistics the old ancient tv's that our parents had had a longer life span that then new lcd screen tv's that we have today which cost buttloads of money. The question that i have for you today is would you rather have a tv that can live for 10-20 years or a tv that can only live up to expectations of 5-10 years??

I would definitely perfer a TV that last 10 - 20 years over 5 to 10 years. Especially since the tv that last 5 to 10 years are so expensive. If your paying athousands of dollars for a big LCD TV you want it to be worth it in the long run. I would love to go back to the TV consels from back in the day. However I don't want to get rid of the remote.

lol so true and the bunny years was a classic. still remember the tin foil trick hahaha. but yeah now everything is going lcd and they dont last as long and the waranty is only for a year which everyone knows tv's go out 5-10 years (for the new tv's) ancient ones still hold the quality. which brings another point that u made if someone paid thousands for a tv. why the heck does it not last long???
