Pay a penny more for a better world?

When I go shopping I try to buy as much honest products as I get. Biological food, fairtrade but also beauty products that haven't been tested on animals and with as little chemicals as possible. I don't mind paying a bit more for that if I know it helps the world become a better place. I feel we can all try to do our best to make the world a healthier place. Taking shorter showers, saving energy and so on. There are lots of things we can do. Would you mind paying more for a product if you know it has a good resource or that it contributes to a better world and/or a charity?

YES I totally agree! When my family shops for food we like to go to farmer markets a lot in the summer. It not only has farm fresh food, but you're supporting local farms, and it saves gas because it is short to transport and thererfore releases less CO2 into the atmosphere. And I don't care about what anyone says or what jokes they say, I like being able to say that I like to be green. I was trying to be green even before it became popular. And recently I've been focusing on eating a LOT healthier. And even though I'm not a vegetarian, I still enjoy drinking chocolate soy milk, and eating tofu. I like getting those snack bars that contribute their earnings to rainforests n conservation. I think that's very good of what you do. I DO make bad decisions sometimes and tend to sometimes take too much paper towel or forget to shut off the lights, but im working on it. It's worth it for your health and the world to be more green and healthy.

You have a lot of good ideas; we have a local farm aswell and it's great to get your fruit and vegetables there. For us the drive there is a bit longe,r but we take more at a time to make it worth the travel. For example, last time both my dad, me , my aunt and my neighbour went there with one car and got fresh fruits and vegetables for 4 families at a single time. It tastes good, it's environmental friendly and (unlike most of these products) this is even cheaper that the local supermarket! Most of the time I dislike things being a hype, but I'm glad that being green is getting more attention. I've been doing it for a while now but hopefully more people will join. And yes, we all sin occaisonally. I love long baths so I take those every now and then, but on the other hand my showers that I take on a daily basis are as short as possible. Thanks for responding!
