I thought coffees were supposed to make you stay up longer and awaken your senses but just lately I noticed that I become more sleepy after drinking a cup. I don't drink coffee much but I drink a lot of coca cola so maybe, and I think this the real reason, I have developed a high tolerance for caffeine. Yet I wonder, if I do have high tolerance as I believe, then why do I feel more sleepy instead of just normal?Has this ever occured to you?

Since you have felt more sleepy after drinking coffee, so having tolerance is probably not the real reason. Maybe what making you stay up or be sleepy depends on lots of facts such as pressure, diet, mood, having sports, wearing pretty clothes, being awarded, etc. You will feel sleepy after having sports even if you have had coffee or you will stay up when having great pressure even if you have not had coffee. So having coffee is just one of many facts which may influnce your sleeping=)

I don't drink coffee but I know my hubby drinks so much of it because of his job that he says it really doesn't phase him too much.

I agree with you choy, I don;t drink a lot of coffee, and often forget it's effect on me, so forget to ask for decaf. The more coffee I drink. the sleepier I get. I drank a couple cups of my aunts coffee while visiting family over breakfast before heading home yesterday and couldn't make myself keep my eyes open by the time we got in the car and crashed out the whole trip home.
Anyways, anyone else have anything like that, not necessarily coffee, but i was just curious as to what were things that maybe effected you way different from the mainstream.
