I had an experience in January with my 1999 Toyota Corolla.When i drive for about 20mins the car would slow to a halt. When the car stalled on night i call the closest mechanic to me. He checked the transmission fluid which was black from this he concluded that the transmission was acting up. He recommending i have the fluid drawn off by a machine a new fluid replaced. I got it done still had the problem.When i took it to my regular mechanic to test it he quickly realize that the right side front wheel was extremely hot he then concluded it was the abs system locking up so he bypass the abs, this solve the problem. Make sure that you have a regular mechanic that know you vehicle well - advice.
