I have a strange cousin who vomits when eating rice

I have this cousin here in the Philippines who really dont eat rice because she vomits(filippinos usually eat rice with dishes). I found it strange because during occasions, she just sat on a corner and just watch us eating dishes. See is satisfied eating instant noodles, uncooked noodles, fried potatoes (home made fries), and biscuits. The thing is, she's healty and one of the top on her class. I just wonder when she grew up, how she will deal on different occasions like debut, birthday parties, Christmas parties and many more.

Hi reizhielle! I always ask my aunt about it and she told me that they are also worried about their daughters health so I advice them that she should take some vitamins. When I visit them, there are times that I eat lunch with them. My cousin will just cook her fries, instant noodles and watch the tv. I can't imagine how she satisfy her hunger with that. She don't even eat dishes while her family members enjoys it. I wonder what she was doing during special occasions. Maybe she is satisfied eating pastas

This is strange. My wife cannot go a day without eating rice. She can go one meal or two but not the whole day. I am an american and my wife is filipina. I don't mind not eating potatoes every day which is I guess the American version of rice. I can eat what ever is put in front of me except for fish sauce. Getting back to your cousin that is unusual. It depends on which island you live on also, or which region your are from in the philippines. I don't know if I am right, but I heard in the south west philippines (Zamboanga area) they eat an equal amout of rice and potatoes because the region is poor.

Yeah rice is a traditional food here in the Philippines. If there is no rice, our lunch and dinner won't be enough.If she was an amercan, maybe she can live normal since most of them does not eat rice traditionally

That's weird but I, myself don't eat vegetables. I am very particular with my food. There are food that I don't like and I can't eat at all. It is quite difficult whenever I have to attend an event. I try my best not to disappoint the host and at the same time, I really can't eat some of the food at the function. The weird thing is that, I have a very good eyesight and quite a healthy person till my early 30s. Now at 38, I started to have a few health problems due tomy unhealthy eating habit.

Me too when I was young, I really dont eat vegies. But as I grew up, on my 6th grade in elementary, our principal told us the importance of it so I end up teaching my self eating little by little. Going backto my cousin, I also expect that this will also cause her some health issues because of unhealty eating habits. Because of her youn age, this might be the reason why her immune system can recover faster.

Hello fellow Pinoy! I'm guessing she might have a psychological condition called "food aversion." I had that before for "tikoy." I had a very bad experience with that tikoy that later on every time I see or try to eat one I feel nauseous and a bit like throwing up. I grew out of it though, but only after a few years. Is your cousin a young girl?

hmm your pinsan is definitely weird but its fine because rice isnt the only carb source that we can eat.she can eat pasta and potato instead of rice. there are people who just cant eat something. in my case i cant eat egg yolk. but many people eat egg yolks its their fave part on eggs but for me i feel nauseated right after eating them and dont know why it sweird too haha
