If you truly got sick of you job and could start your own company. What kind of business would you start? I'll start. For me my ideal business would be selling a health food cookbook that I had written with an emphasis on all the ways to prevent ever going to a doctor.

My field is computers...databases and software...so I wouldn't want to start that kind of business because, in all honesty, it's not that interesting to me. My husband, however, has ridden, customized, maintained and repaired motorcycles for over 30 years and is still very much interested in them. So, last year, we opened a motorcycle shop in our small town. There was a need...there are a lot of bikers in our area with the closest repair & parts business about an hour away...and my husband had the desire to do this every day. Since we've opened the shop he has turned several stock Harleys into custom beauties...and one Honda chopper...and has developed a following of loyal customers who visit us for all of their riding needs. I use my skills to run the office and take care of the business end of the organization that he would rather not deal with. So, it works for us!

That is so great FOR YOUR HUSBAND. You two are a team so it is working for the both of you. But this is our imaginary world, where you can own and successfully run any business of YOUR dreams. If you had to pick your dream business, would it be running the office of motorcycle shop. I thing you all people have there own secret aspirations. You just don't sound like motorcycles would be your life's work. Am I wrong?

I would really want to have a toy store. I love looking at toys in the mall and I want to preserve my childlike attitude. I would like to be a wholesaler of toys so I would have a warehouse of toys.

Oh, I absolutely love it. I used to be a big vintage board game seller on ebay. I love toys, I don't think I will ever grow up. You would be like a God to so many children. I think we should all follow our dreams. Have you thought of just selling a few nice toys on ebays or craigslist to test the waters?

I would have to start some sort of boutique or second hand item shop... I say this because I am interested in such a great variety of things, but primarily collectible card games, unique works of art and music, subcultures, and retro clothing. I am also very interested in metaphysics and spirituality, so there's also a possibility there.

Collectible anything is always good. People are looking for things that remind them of another time and/or place. What type of collectible card games would you sell? I used to sell vintage board games on ebay. Your store definitely sounds like a winner.

I would start a weight loss subscription website that would eliminate the costly effort of a gym or personal trainer. the subscription would be all you need to achieve your weight loss goals and aspirations.

Great idea. Even though there are other weight loss subscription web sites. As long as you have a new way of doing your thing, it will definitely get subscribers. People are always looking for the newest, bestest, quickest, way to lose weight. In fact, add me as a friend. If you ever do this thing, I will be your second customer, assuming your mom will be your first customer.
