I have got into a argument with my boss before because he was favoering everyone and forgetting about me like I did not matter. It makes me so made some people can be so selfish and only think of themselves. Needless to say if it continues I will be looking for another job. I love my job but I donnot like my boss. I try to get along with him but it seems like it is the impossible because he does not listen and plays video games all day. Then when he gets caught by the facitilty manager he tells him its a organizer. The facilty manager does not even know because he is a older guy that does not know what video games now a days are. I also have for bad pictures in the company computer that are not aproriate for work. He could get fired for that but he has not been because noone reports him. It so rediculous. He will give others time off when ever they need it but when it comes to me he finds a reason to say no. Its total crap to me. I generally get along with everyone but this is rediculious and getting out of hand. I know you can't get along with every one but I really try. It gets so hard sometimes.

A- if he is doing things that are against company policies, would it not in your opinion be part of YOUR responsibility to report him. Were I in your position, I would. B-With every thing in life you are given choices, read this great article by my good friend John Milton Fogg ~ http://transformingmlm.typepad.com/itstime/2010/02/tired-even-just-a-tiny-little-bit-of-vacuous-personal-growth-development-gurus-i-am-very-so-it-is-with-the-genuine.html ~ That is a huge URL, please tell me what you appreciate most about the article. I am on your friends list, so a message would do nicely, unless you would like to invite everyone that reads this to do so as well. C-Have you ever considered starting a Home Based Business? Thank you for your time, I appreciate you!

As far as I am concerned, I seldom have an arguement with my boss.I usually do as my boss told and in that way I will seldom make any mistake. For me, I think the boss will be the person who always gets the right idea. If the boss gets the wrong idea , I think I may just went ahead and suggest him to change the idea which he had made.

Never leave your job because the job is yours. The boss has only the right to interfare in the work you are doing in the organisation.Try to do it in its fullest capasity you can.

Hello Tuckersheri. Im so sorry you have such an idiot as a boss. If you can, try to report him. Make sure you have proof of what you say so they cant say you made it all up. Take pictures if you can of him playing games or when he's looking at those inappropriate pictures on his computers. Write down dates and times when he lets someone have time off. Be well documented and go to a high boss. As for me having issues with a boss, oh sure, quite a lot actually but since I was working for the government at the time, I was part of an Union, so they would defend me. Finally, they fired that boss so I was rid of him. I sure hope you manage to get rid of him!!

I had few unexpected words exchange with my Boos sometimes back but the intention was very clear to convey the strong message that I had in my mind from long back. It was reaction of many ignorance my boss was doing from sometimes and when I came to my decision of doing thing on my way he was very upset and started blaming me for many things so I had to justify that. It was not an argument as such but a reaction of something which should have been very healthy if my boss could have not been personnel in the discussion. I want to keep personnel things away with the boss and subordinate relations but he crossed his limits of saying few things So had to interrupt him. I prefer to maintain silence most of the time and there is limit of that as well. I test my patient and finally it has to come out. Be cool with the boss is the key sometimes unwanted words are spoken and it goes against you. keep your cool :)

Yes, I had and always ended it with me in tears. I always had this problem with authority. I can't seem to extend my point across and can't win a fight with them even when I'm right. Oh well, that is the thing of the past because when I don't get along with my boss, I just move out. What a huge relief that is!

I had a few arguments with my (former) boss because she was almost completely computer illerate, very demanding and did not take kindly to suggestions. When we first changed over to the new online system for scheduling, billing and making payments related to our railroad, she decided that she did not like the reports that were being generated and insisted that I return to the old format. After TRYING to explain the facts of life to her several times she lost her temper, snapped at me and I snapped back. There was another time when she insisted that our revenue for the month had to be more than the system was showing and she came right out and accused me of not only not doing my job but of stealing from the company by not doing my job. I wasn't very pleased with that accusation and insisted that she come with me to my office where I had to waste my time comparing the freight schedules to the revenue reports...day after day until she finally asked me to stop. She was old and cranky and I am so glad to be free of her.

i did that before, i just proven myself that i am right and i stand for my right even if i need to resign or not. though they didnt advise me to resign but i just did coz i want to prove to them that i am right and if i resigned it means that i value my dignity more than my job. coz i dont think you will be happy working in the environment where theres no respect and your dignity was deprive.

i do, during the time when i was working in the formal sector. right now, i don't have a boss to argue with. probably, clients. you know, i left the formal employment sector because of some boss who don't know how to be boss. so, there are a lot of times when discussions turn to arguments, especially when you know that your boss only got his position because of influence -- that's how government works here. so, even the private sector got its share of this distorted setup. so, i just decided to go on my own.

Well i think arguing with someone if we are right is not at all bad.We should fight for our rights otherwise people would take us for granted. As you said that your boss is not good and he plays video games during office hours then you should complain about him with the higher officials,Who are on a higher post than the older manager that you told about. Well you should not leave the job and teach your boss a lesson ,so that he could become a better human being and treat others in a well manner. take care.
