Hi mylotters, the nagas of the northeastern part of india are of mongoloid origin, they are totally different in physical and cultural features from the rest of india, but the naga domain is situated within the Indian nation. The main occupation of the nagas were cultivation and handicraft in the olden days, but nowadays there are lots of nagas who are either working or pursueing their studies from mainland india and also abroad. The nagas have adapted well with the latest technologies and these days one can find a tv set, dvd player and computers in any self respecting naga's home, the nagas are also fashion conscious too, with the shops overflowing with the latest fashion clothes, the naga youth is spoiled for choice. These days Nagaland is a very peaceful place after the ceasefire between naga rebels and the governtment of India. I hope and pray that this peace be permanent in Nagaland and that the tears and cry of agony from the naga mother be heard no more. Thank you.

hey,

Good to see that you are active here on mylot. Ya, The Nagas are quite different from the mainland Indian and with the peace process going on have become quite an interesting place for the tourist to give a visit.
The Nagas are known for their courageous activities during wars in the olden times and with more development going on, its good to see the state on par with other more advanced state. With 90% or more christainity, the state are more westernized than other surrounding state and richly blessed with very varieties of flora and fauna.
Way to go! Nagas!
