Do you have pet peeves? Pet peeve is defined as a particular personal vexation... Simply put, it is something that ticks you off easily almost instantaneously! I have one, and its pretty common nowadays... My pet peeve is text-speak! I really hate it when I receive an email using text-speak. It's an email! Spend a little more time writing your letter, albeit electronic, but nevertheless its a letter. Off-course chat lingo like LOL and IMAO are already part of online language (I commonly use LOL myself =D). It's understandable in chat and text as you are always in a hurry but even then I get ticked of with some, e.g.: office - Opis (why not ofc?) wait - w8t (why the need for a t at the end? w8 is enough right?) before - b4e (ummmm b4 is the accepted term) These are just examples and text does not actually have any "correct" spelling. But if you have to shorten it at least make it understandable not confusing and requires the recipient to ask you what you meant! What about you? Been ticked off lately?
