yes, i still remember. i was a fresh graduate form college and my first interview was nerve-wracking. i don't know what to say or to answer her questions. my performance is a blaaah! maybe that is why i didn't get the job! i was not satisfied and wishing i can rewind and rethink about my answers. anyway, i learned from it.

...Hi there donnakristel, I would think a first anything is nerve wracking. You are trying to think what the person is going to ask you next, while you are also trying to formulate an answer to the question they just asked you. It all gets scrambled and then you sweat. In addition, the other people being interviewed could have been going on interviews for months. I am sure the lessons you learned, were used by you, to give a better performance on your next interviews. Thanks for your reply. Take care.

...Hi there queeny1112, Welcome to the ranch, hope that you enjoy yourself. To have accomplished something that you wanted, gives you a great feeling I am sure. It is only human nature to have scary feelings when you are not sure what to expect, or what questions you are going to be asked in an interview. You are hoping it all goes well and that it is over as soon as possible. Also that you do a good job in the interview. It sounds as if you did a wonderful job and I know you were proud of yourself as I am also sure your family was more proud of you, when you got the job. Thanks for your response and take care.

My first job interview was over thirty-eight years ago, so I don't remember anything about it. I went on several before I finally got a job and I stayed with that company for nearly twenty-five years.

...Hi there 6precious102, Well, I would say that when you found the job that fit you and that you fit, it was a good match. I can't remember the first thing about my first interview and I can't tell you how many years ago it was. But I do remember hearing about a job that I really wanted and the company was scouting people where I was working, but I was not called for an interview. So I called them and sold myself, went in for the interview on a rainy day and was selected for the job. They wanted to give me a lower step, but the same money or a little higher, I wanted the job, accepted then changed my mind. They called me back and we worked it out where I was picked up two steps higher than the lowest amount I said I would accept. I tried not to ever sell myself short again. "o). Take care and thanks for your reply.

Very different experience of me about my first interview. And surprisingly that was my last one. It is not for a job but for a govt. sponsor finance scheme. I submitted a scheme on a project and that was new concept. The project director of the sponsor scheme was one of the interviewer. He was a rude person ans he has the attitude to puzzle the candidate and if some one fail to answer then he like to insult them. he asked me about market feasibility and market potentiality etc. But I answer that it is wrong question on my project because as it is a new concept and not way to know the market feasibility of such project. There are some way of market survey of existing project. But on a new concept it is hard to find will the new product would be accepted by the consumer or not. But we can run the product in market with post product sale promotional measures. He then questioned that how they take risk on unknown product. Then I answered that it is his duty to select or not. And this question is not for me. As he is a selector so he should have the power to justify whether my project should accept or not. And If I have to answer his question then he should left his chair.

...Hi Aaleexix, For some reason it seems as if the person who interviewed you for the project may have felt threatened by you for some reason. You must have been more than qualified to work with the project and help develop it.Sometimes people who have ego problems have a hard time putting it aside and doing the job they aresupposed to do. In this case it was obvious that the personprobably should not have been in charge of interviewing people for the scheme. Thanks for sharing and take it easy.
