Should MVP be pushed as a maineventer and eventually as world champion?

I feel that it's time that MVP gets the push to become a maineventer and an eventual World Champion. I also feel that he will make a great Heel champion than a face champion.
The US Championship would only pull him down to the mid card.

I really thought MVP should have been pushed up to the main event the moment that he got moved over to RAW. And for a minute, I thought they were going to. If I remember rightly, during the first few weeks, they were setting up something with Randy Orton against MVP. Yet it never really happened. We had to settle for many months of mind numbing combination of John Cena/Randy Orton/Triple H matches for months and months. Quite the disappointment as M.V.P. got shunted down with a feud with Jack Swagger(another guy who should be up there as well). Then the team with Mark Henry. Then the feud with the Miz. Never appearing to break out.
As for a heel, it might not be the worst idea in the world. I did enjoy MVP as a heel. Plus if they go with that utterly horrific idea of Randy Orton turning babyface as I fear they are heading towards, they need a new top level heel. Why not MVP? Plus since we all know John Cena will be part of the main event picture on RAW, MVP/Cena would be a fresh feud.

just curious, why you don't want to see orton as a face?
i agree that he is a better heel than a face. based on his short stint as a face when he left evolution, he didn't do to bad in my opinion. maybe being a face will do wwe good since if offers a fresh perspective for us fans about a certain wrestler. maybe orton can be part-face/part heel. wwe can cut down on the orton-cena, orton-hhh rivalries and maybe have some more of the orton-legacy rivalry. with what happened in the recent elimination chamber, i'd like to see orton confront dibiase and they have a match set up. at first, cody rhodes will be in orton's corner but just when orton will set up dibiase for a punt, cody rhodes will pull orton out of the ring and throw him to the steel steps! dibiase will recover and together with cody rhodes, they will manhandle orton and beat him up with the lead pipe that dibiase used in the elimination chamber.
another rivalry that i want to see more is between orton and sheamus. taken that sheamus is no longer champion, maybe he can stalk orton and both of them will interfere in each other's matches and basically be at each other's throats utnil wrestlemania.
also, looking forward to having an orton-hbk-undertaker match mash-up. orton took out undertaker before and maybe, orton can rub that it the face of hbk. hbk won't take it lightly and they will have a match set at raw. in the middle of the fight, the lights go out and taker takes out both hbk and orton. back in smackdown, taker goes after jericho to regain his title. he invokes his rematch clause and during the match, both orton and hbk interfere causing taker the match. orton and hbk come out of the crowd and as taker is getting ready to chokeslam jericho, hbk gives the seet chin music to taker and this sets up taker for a rko. jericho then puts taker through the code breaker and pins tker to retian. as hbk and orton look down at taker, all seems well but hbk then superkicks orton. this sets up nicely to a triple threat match between orotn-hbk-undertaker in wrestlemania.
just my thoughts.

mvp as a heel champion would indeed be great. he can be a us champion for awhile and then transform to a heel while he is holding on to the belt. he can use underhanded tactics to win his matches and maybe even have mark henry in his corner as his enforcer. i really think that being a us champion or an intercontinental champion wouldn't relegate one wreslter to being a midlevel wrestler but how wwe creative can handle the wrestler and come up with believable storylines to push the wrestler as a heel/face.
mvp can indeed be a maineventer and a world champion. i'd like to see him have rivalries against cena, hbk, orton, and kofi kingston. i'd also like to see him against other heels like jack swagger, sheamus, and maybe have a cross brand rivalry against jericho and edge.
wwe should really start pushing the careers of other wrestlers. it is tiring to see the same names headlining these ppvs.
just my 2 cents.

I really think that MVP alrady had his chnce to be in the main event but couldnt hold it. I think hes a good mid card though. He was a great USA champ and as someone above me said I also thought he was going to get his big push when he was moved to RAW but somehow it must have just fallen through. At the moment WWE is definetly pushing the wrong guys. MVP has been there for awile and Sheams has been there for a few months and already had the strap on him. I think at the moment they should focus on pushing Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, David Hart, R Truth for the Intercontinental and USA titles while guys like MVP, Matt Hardy,Christian get pushed for the heavywieght belt. Its really weird how they pick there champs some time and dont give much thought it seems on how there are getting over and then just throw the other guys to the back.

Personally, I would disagree with you. In my opinion, MVP is far too old (he's in his 40s) at this point and there are many other more deserving, younger superstars that I feel would benefit more from a Main Event push.
I do like MVP, and feel that he makes a very strong Mid-Carder, but I don't think he is worth any higher than that.

I agree with you guys, I really thought MVP was going to be a main eventer when he first moved to Raw but it didn't happen. As of now, I don't think MVP could be a credible main event talent. He doesn't seem that over with the crowd and to me, is better suited to be a heel. MVP has his best run in WWE as a cocky heel. Turn him heel and move him back to Smackdown. It could push his career to the next level.

That was really the best time for them to have pushed him. I reallt think they should have gone that way..now we are stuck with Swagger as champ..ugh.
