Do you stir tea and coffee with the same teaspoon? I am more a tea person while my wife is contrary the opposite. She loves coffee but hates tea. Although I drink coffee I hate the strong coffee smell while drinking tea. So I font like the idea of a teaspoon being stirred in coffee and then used in a teacup. Usually I can tell when my wife does that so she does not use two separate teaspoons.

I like both tea and coffe, and I don't take sugar, so the only thing I stir when making it, is tea; in order to brew it properly. Coffee, I take black, and without sugar, so that doesn't need stirring. However, when my son visits, I often drink tea or green tea, and he always drinks coffee, so yes, I use two teaspoons, one for each. I also don't use the same teaspoon for a person who likes sugar in their drinks, and a person who doesn't, because I can taste even a trace of sugar, and I don't like it. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Nobody drinks coffee that I would share a spoon with, so not an issue.

Hi Ronald. Usually I don’t prepare tea and coffee simultaneously. So there is no question of using one spoon for coffee and tea. If I prepare tea then I will prepare it for everybody at home otherwise I will prepare coffee for every person. Since nobody has any particular interest in this case I can manage it well. But I know using the same spoon for coffee and tea may change the real taste of tea/coffee.

Hi. ronaldinu. Usually, I will stir tea and coffee on different times. If I have them on the same day, it may be with the same spoon, but it is usually rinsed off with cold water. I don't drink tea and the stir coffee from the same spoon with washing it off first.

I am sure there are a lot of people who drink both tea and coffee at the same time and will use the same spoon to stir both,me and my wife are both more tea people than coffee people and we will go though a couple gallons of tea in a few days because it is so good, and we will drink coffee every once in a while especially when we lived with my great grandmother we would always drink a cup or two of coffee in the morning, and I kind of have a hankering for a cup of coffee, and maybe in the morning I will drink a cup of coffee, and if we did drink a lot of coffee and tea I would not care if my wife stirred both with the same spoon.

No, never use the same spoon for tea and coffee! I am a lover of coffee but I also drink tea and the two should not mix! I don’t take sugar in my tea and coffee and I hate it when someone has sugared their drink and uses the same spoon in mine! No, no some things are just not done!

I don't believe in using the same spoon for two different drinks, because one will end up with traces of the other. my husband and I both drink coffee, so it's a non-issue here, but if we liked separate drinks, we would definitely use separate teaspoons.

i don't drink either. I never realized that coffee smell could be that strong. I used to make coffee for my mom and I would use one spoon for the dry coffee and another for the sugar and cream substitute.

Hey ronaldinu! I'm with you! I wouldn't put the spoon that has been in the coffee in my tea! I am not really a coffee drinker either! I haven't had a cup of coffee in many years! I used to drink it when I worked many years ago and then I started drinking diet coke or pepsi in the morning! I know some people think that is weird, but I only like coffee once in awhile and I like it with alot of milk and sugar! I prefer green tea without milk and lots of sugar! So, now I either drink tea or soda only! And I would never dare use a spoon that was in my boyfriends coffee and put it into my tea! Ewwww!

Oh, better not. The tea and coffee are different taste of drink and the taste will be weird if you did it. Why not use two separate teaspoon? I think the spoon is not so expensive that you can utterly afford.

Hi friend in our family no one drinks coffee in our family so there is no question of stirring tea or coffee with the same spoon.

My boyfriend and I are fans of both coffee and tea, but often will drink the same (either coffee or tea) at the same time. I agree that I as well can tell when my boyfriend has used the teaspoon in his cup when I take the spoon to stir my cup of green tea. The peppermint is a sweet addition to my green tea, but I can relate since i once had the faint taste of strawberry in my French vanilla coffee after my boyfriend stirred strawberry tea.

No never! I am the tea drinker, my husband has coffee. On the rare occasions that he makes the hot drinks I directly tell im to use two different spoons to stir the drinks, and I can tell if he doesn't...or at least I think I can.

This problem doesn't apply to Me,as I wouldn't ever take sugar in my tea now,I'd only ever use it when I drink coffee. So I don't need or use a spoon to stir the tea,the milk can mix well enough by itself as I pour into the cup or mug! I'd drink whatever was available at the time,so if there was tea,I'd drink tea,and if there was coffee,I'd take that..

I will use the same teaspoon to stir both tea and coffee.. hehe ^_^ IF my partner is someone whom does not like either tea or coffee, i will be sure to stir hers first, adding all the necessary stuffs, make it ready, before i stir mine.. haha =D It's ok for me, because i'm both coffee and tea drinker.. NO matter what, just some stirring wont have much impact on the overall taste of the tea i'm drinking.. PLus, i'm not even drinking top graded tea/coffee.. hehe

Hi Ronald, I am more of a coffee drinker but when making tea for someone else I always use a separate teaspoon as I know a tea drinker will taste the coffee in the tea if I don't. But I do like tea first thing in the morning, I find it more rereshing than coffee! LoLo

I use different ones. I can taste the coffee in the tea. I can't really taste it the other way around but I still use a different spoon.
