Are you in favor of a "living will"?

Eventually we are all going to get old and pass... an inevitable stage which is really a concern if ever as it could be sudden and fast or prolonged with significant pain and burden to those who really care for us. i often thought about it as nowadays especially with the present financial crisis and the high cost of hospitalization. Surely i would be more thankful if it would be fast and sudden, but if i were to have an endstage illness that would require me to undergo treatment without assurance of having the same quality of life or would somehow make me as a burden to my family, then that would be causing much pain for me as well as my family. So, are you in favor of a "living will", which is unknown to your family, stating that if you ever suffer a terminal disease that there would be no surgical or clinical intervention, and to have only comfort measures?

The living will is quite a minefield really so many people against it.
I for one am for it, as much as it may really hurt to think that it is the end of the life of someone you know, but at the same you have to consider sometimes it is better to stop the suffering if there is no hope?
Sometimes, if you love someone, you have to set them free.

very well said... and to consider the effect it might incur to your loved ones; pain, cost, time, etc..
