Really I should have it and don't! Never can seem to figure out how to afford it! I rally need to get some! Got into a mimor accident this morning. It was my fault and I also got ticketed. I damaged the right fog light and the right blinker in front. I hit the other car just above the the back wheel well on right side. No one was hurt but I'm going to have to pay for this person's car repairs and I hope it isn't a big amount! I'll know that soon! So now this is happened I should get car insurance but I stll can't figure out how I ca afford! I have driven so long without it i kept hoping I never would need it! Boy was I wrong!

Wow, I didn't know there was anywhere where insurance was optional!
I would say if you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford to drive a car, but of course most of us HAVE to get insurance by law...
I would think that Winconsin will have to get in line with everybody else and make it compulsary - I bet hire companies have an exclusion saying you can't take their cars into Winsconsin...

Maybe someday in Wisconsin they will chage the law. I know a wisonsin congressman was trying to pass a law in Wisconsin that every driver have car insurance. I haven't heard that it was passed. If it would I would go and get it right now. I will look into it. I need it and should of had it!

Good grief bluepacket, weren't you arrested. Surely it's illegal to drive there without insurance, I've never known anywhere where it wasn't compulsory. As for affording it, stop paying for the junk food and sodas and you'll soon have enough cash, and get thinner at the same time.

No I didn't get arrested for no car insurance. I can drive in Wisconsin without it and not get arrested or fined. I did get fined for the accident. I will look into insurnace. I have tax returns coming and I'll pay for the insurance that way. Junk food isn't the big problem and niether is soda. It is sweets. I'll stop there because I don't need to go any further!

Wow I thought the whole United States made me have insurance on their vehicles. Thats really interesting that in Wisconsin as long as you dont drive your car out of state that you dont need insurance. I wonder if other states are like that as well. I just renewed my auto insurance. It lasts for 6 months and it was $372. I did it online it was so easy to renew!

Well thats interesting. I have just the minimum coverage so if I hit someone their vehicle gets fixed but mine wont. I cant afford full coverage. Your insurance is about half the price of what I pay then. Thats awesome. I wish thats how it was here. I will have to look into geigo. I have whatever is local here because all I have to do is drive about a mile and set it up. I have no idea where to go to see where geigo is. I know I can call them and see how much they can save me though. I always hear the commericals lol.

Wisconsin is the last or one of the last states to have the rule that everyone needs car insurance! I have it and pay $25.00 a month. Just liability whcihn is all I really need. Love Geigo! They were the cheapest!

I would start with Progressive on-line (even though I have Traveler's) and then compare rates with other companies (State Farm, Allstate, GEICO, etc.).
To keep the rate down, buy just liability insurance. It doesn't sound like you can afford collision and comprehensive insurance and you probably don't need it, if your car is old.
Did you get ticketed for not having insurance?

No I wasn't ticketed for no insurance. I was ticketed for the accident, though. I will look into Progressive on-line and see what I can get. I was thinking of liability insurnace for the car, too. I can't keep doing this.
